I first met Laura when she photographed my friend’s wedding. From the moment I met her and saw her work, I knew I had to have her for my own wedding! Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of working with her multiple times (for two mini sessions, our engagement photos and our wedding).

Laura is worth every penny of her fees – and more. She’s incredibly talented and has a way of instantly putting you at ease in front of the camera. She’ll keep you laughing so that it’s a fun experience yet she’ll provide you with exactly the direction you need to capture gorgeous images. She’s also super responsive (I’ve always received photos from her at lightning speed) and was really helpful throughout the wedding planning process.

Laura's light and bright photos and overall vibe spoke to me when we first started our photographer hunt but then I met her in person and that truly sealed the deal! When I thought of our wedding day, I knew I would have all of my favourite people by my side but why should your vendors be any less amazing? They shouldn't be, don't settle for less! Laura is insanely creative and hilarious, not your black wearing, silent photographer type. Phew!

Our engagement photos were more than I could have hoped for! Laura provided expert advice on what to wear and the various location options to achieve my vision (although as I learned locations are not important as she can shoot anywhere). The best part we laughed the whole time and before we knew it we were admiring our stunning fall photos. We are not models and wow they could fool anyone!

With our wedding day quickly approaching I can honestly say I can't wait to marry the man of my dreams but also kick it with the coolest photographer in town!

Choosing Laura to shoot my wedding was the best wedding planning decision I made. She is truly a professional, an expert in her craft and genuinely wonderful person. I have worked with Laura on many bridal styled shoots as well as weddings and I'm constantly amazed by her approach to work and her talent! The fact that she is super talented is evident right away from her pictures that are done consistently with Laura's special touch - they are light and airy and simply magical. They all have this effortless, happy and romantic vibe to them. She will immediately feel like an old friend, super positive, funny and full of energy. She is very comfortable giving gentle directions to people to help make the process of being photographed smoother and less awkward but at the same time nothing looks super posed in her pictures, but authentic and in the moment.
She is also very professional and has high standards for everything she does, not a smallest detail whether it's about her product or the experience she provides will escape her. She is insanely efficient and processes her images with lightening speed. Some photographers take months to give back images to their couples, but with Laura you can expect at a few exciting sneak peaks pretty much by the end of the day!

To say that photography was an important part of our wedding would be an understatement (we booked it immediately after securing a date/venue!). After we met with Laura, we knew we had found our photographer. Not only was she extremely personable and easy to talk to when we first met, her pictures spoke for themselves. Laura Kelly is by far one of the best photographers Ottawa has. She is super attentive to every detail and as a florist who has worked beside her on a number of weddings, I am always super excited to see what she creates! From start to finish she is professional but also a ton of fun and I cannot recommend her enough! You will be blown away by what she captures.

Where do I even start- Laura is everything we ever wanted in a wedding photographer and so much more. From the moment we met her at her house (with a customized welcome sign on the porch!) we knew we were in good hands. She is the perfect balance between being fun and professional. She made us feel confident that we were in good hands. One thing Laura did differently than other photographers was insist on an engagement session (included in the wedding photo price). While I initially thought it was just one more thing to do, Laura was completely right. The engagement session went so well- we didn’t have to think of any poses or come up with anything cliche. Laura took photos of us in our neighborhood that were lighthearted, romantic and reflected who we were as a couple. She had photos edited and sent to us right away. They were so beautiful that my very stubborn I-don’t-like-having-my-picture-taken fiancé is actually EXCITED to see the wedding photos! If you knew him you’d understand how great of an accomplishment that is. The engagement session helped us feel comfortable with her and confident in how the photos would turn out. Laura has also helped us find an incredible florist, an awesome DJ and a wonderful wedding planner. She’s been worth every singe penny and I cannot wait for her to shoot our wedding in a few weeks. I have no doubt the process will be seamless and the photos will be beautiful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to all my friends!!
