  Best experience with such a professional team!

  Maigan and her colleague Rich did a phenomenal as our wedding photographers. My husband and I are not a couple that love getting our photos taken but Maigan and Rich made us feel right at home. They guided us through our poses, they way we stood, and the pictures turned out flawless. The day after the wedding, my husband said - "we need to give Maigan and Rich an awesome review" - if HE was saying how much he loved it, that means they did AMAZING work. As soon as we got the photos back, my husband and I sat down together and were in awe. The pictures were amazing and were so true to us and how the day went. We are forever grateful for these photos, and Maigan and her team.

  We knew we were in excellent hands when we decided to hire Maigan as our wedding photographer. Our story with Maigan starts after watching her work at my friend's wedding and seeing the images that came back from their engagement session. I knew we had to take a chance on Maigan and try her style out for our engagement photos.
  
  Once we had the opportunity to work with her and see the results from our engagement session, we could say confidently that she is the absolute best at what she does. I knew we had to take a chance on Maigan and try her style out for our engagement photos.
  
  Once we had the opportunity to work with her and see the results from our engagement session, we could say confidently that she is the absolute best at what she does. While working through unexpected circumstances, like fighting off swarms of mosquitos (and still making every shot look stunning), to being locked out of her car midway through our session and still staying focused so we could move to another spot, change up the scenery and finish off our time with her - Maigan didn't skip a beat! Her professionalism, incredible attention to detail, and unmatched talent make her a standout in the photography world.
  
  First, let's talk about her attention to detail. Maigan has an extraordinary ability to capture the smallest yet most significant moments that truly tell the story of the day. For our engagement and wedding, she didn’t just take traditional posed shots; she noticed everything — the laughter shared between friends during candid moments, the way the sunlight filtered through the trees, and most importantly, the moments we were just being ourselves and nothing else around us mattered. She captured those moments as they were, without feeling posed and unnatural. These details are what made our engagement and wedding albums so personal, meaningful, and timeless. It’s clear that she doesn’t just take photos; she crafts them. Every shot feels thoughtful and intentional, a reflection of the true emotions and atmosphere of the day.
  
  Her professionalism is also unparalleled. From the first consultation to the final delivery of our photos, she was organized, communicative, and extremely thorough. She took the time to understand our vision and what we wanted from our wedding photography. On the day itself, she was a calm, confident presence—nothing was ever rushed, but everything happened seamlessly. She knew exactly when to give us direction and when to step back and let moments unfold naturally. There was never any stress, and we always felt at ease in front of her camera. This was especially valuable on a day that can be overwhelming in the best way possible!
  
  Additionally, Maigan worked with a second shooter, Rich, who is equally amazing. Rich brought the same level of skill, professionalism, and attentiveness to our day. His shots were always well-composed, and he was so great at capturing the alternative angles and candid moments that enriched our wedding album. When I viewed the images of my son, husband, and his side of the family getting ready (which we as brides do not see on the big day typically), I was in awe of the candid moments he captured. Just seeing those moments I couldn't be present for as I was getting ready elsewhere, I will cherish these photos forever. Maigan and Rich worked together flawlessly and the teamwork was evident in the stunning variety of shots they provided.
  
  After our wedding, we also had Maigan do a family session for us a few months later. Sadly, due to a mistake on my part when making our must-have photo list, I missed asking for certain photo combos with our kids on our special day, and we wanted to make sure we got those in our family session. Not only did Maigan make sure she captured each combination as requested, but she went above and beyond to make these images shine. Maigan was swamped with finishing off her wedding season, so we knew the wait time to receive these photos back may be a little bit longer (still within her promised turnaround time). When I received our family session back, I was not only surprised as I figured we wouldn't see this session for a few more weeks, but I had just been delivered the terrible news that a childhood friend of mine had passed away. Unknown to Maigan, she delivered this family session to us, at a time I needed it the most. I truly believe the timing was meant to be as it was, and the images being received when they were, was a way to help me through that sad news. I loved my wedding photos wholeheartedly, they are stunning and timeless, but this family session pulled on all of my heartstrings and has been my favourite session yet. When we leave this world, photos are the memories that remain. I am so thankful that I invested in Maigan, so that my family and my children, can have these remarkable images/memories of our time together, to carry with them even when we are gone.
  
  What truly sets Maigan apart, however, is her ability to connect with her clients. She makes you feel like you’re the most important person in the world when she’s photographing you, and this creates an authentic, relaxed atmosphere that allows her to capture the real you. Whether it's during engagement photos, weddings or candid family portraits, we always feel so comfortable with her. Her genuine care for her clients is evident in everything she does.
  
  In short, we could not have asked for a better photographer to document our engagement, wedding and family sessions. Maigan has not only provided us with breathtaking photos but has also become a trusted part of our lives, capturing precious moments we will treasure forever. We wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a photographer who offers top-notch service, an exceptional eye for detail, and an unwavering commitment to their craft.

  Wedding Photos!

  Having Maigan and Rich as your photographers might be one of the best decisions you could make when it comes to your wedding. They were amazing!! Very professional, and will do anything to get a great shot for you like stand IN an evergreen tree with all the spiders and bugs haha. You can tell they both love what they do and are passionate about it.
  When it came time to prepping and scheduling for the day Maigan was so helpful with our timeline and the photos we wanted to capture. We felt a million times lighter after being able to talk to her about everything.
  The photos really captured the emotions of the day and are just so creative and simply stunning. We highly recommend Maigan Cowen Photography!

  Had previously worked with Maigan in a friends wedding and from that day I knew I needed her at our wedding!! Once the time came she was the first vendor we picked and now that the big day has come and gone we couldn't be more thrilled!! Amazing quality in her work and amazing turn around times had us reliving the special day! Highly recommend!!

  Maigan is honestly the best. The quality of Maigan's photos speak for themselves and beyond the quality of her photos and the emotion she captures, what separates Maigan from every other photographer is her ability to work with the couple. Neither my husband or I enjoy having our photo taken and Maigan made us, and our wedding party, actually enjoy having our photos taken!   Leading up to the wedding she curated a seamless photo timeline. On the day of the wedding, she spent 12+ hours with us. Even with a little rain, we never felt rushed. We had the best day together. Maigan worked well as a team player with the incredible vendors we had. She worked in coordination with our wedding planner, and alongside our videographer for the day.
  
  Her presence and professionalism did not go unnoticed. Many guests commented on how friendly, professional, and present her, and second shooter (Kayla Mazerole) were throughout the day. They beautifully captured us, our wedding party, family, friends, and every little detail in between.
  
  Our photos mean so much to us, more than words could ever express. We are so thankful to have had Maigan and Kayla apart of our day.

  Engagement & Wedding pictures

  Maigan shot our engagement pictures first and we were in love with them from the moment we saw our teasers! She knows her angles, lighting, and makes it feel effortless for you. After that, we knew we had to have her shoot our wedding. Maigan and her second shooter Breanne absolutely nailed all of our wedding pictures! She can make anyone or any back drop look amazing with such a light, airy, timeless feel. We will look back on these pictures for years to come and I know we will continue to love them year after year. Thank you so so much Maigan for capturing our day so perfectly!

  Absolutely Incredible

  I honestly can't say enough great things about Maigan and Rich.
  We hired them for our wedding in July 2023 and it was one of the best decisions we made! They were both incredibly professional but also super down to earth, fun and so easy to get along with. We got sneak peaks within a couple days and all 816 amazingly incredible edited photos within 5 weeks. We have a large family and they were able to get amazing pictures of everyone including all the children and our dog! We eneded up with the most incredible pictures that we will absolutely cherish forever! I can't recommend them enough!

  I honestly can't say enough great things about Maigan and Rich.
