We feel so lucky to have had Maylies shoot our July 2017 wedding. She was wonderful to work with - a deeply empathetic person who tapped into the spirit of our event to find and capture so many special details.

She managed to make the photo sessions fun and natural. She looks for inspiration in her surroundings and found photo opportunities that I never would have thought of - she had scoped a country road nearby our venue that was lined on either side by large trees and we got some beautiful photos there right after the ceremony. She was very flexible, listening to our ideas about what compositions were exciting, and at the same time very engaged in capturing all the moments and feelings we didn’t know how to express in words. Her passion for people is evident in her photos and the way she works with you. She was more than just a photographer on our wedding day, her energy contributed to our celebration!

Maylies is a phenomenal photographer! She did our engagement and wedding photos and we have the most beautiful memories in her photos. She has such an eye for capturing the essence of the place she is in. Her perspective behind the camera results in gorgeous photos that we didn't even think were possible. The whole process was easy, stress free and she made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. We highly recommend Maylies!

Maylies did a great job for our September wedding. We chatted beforehand about what was important to us and she tried really hard to capture the essence and energy we have as a couple. She was able to capture both posed and candid photos, as well as guiding us as needed. Her photography is absolutely gorgeous and my husband and I are really happy that we chose her for our wedding photography. She came to the venue a little bit beforehand to scope out good photography ideas and angles. She really committed to getting lovely photos, even at one point lying down on the dock so she could get us framed with planes flying out of YVR. In addition, Maylies added a wonderful vibe to our wedding and blended in well with our guests. She noticed little things that made the wedding run smoother ranging from realizing that the candles weren’t lit and sourcing a lighter to giving suggestions on how to do the bouquet toss for more interesting photos. Overall, Maylies’ presence and professional photography really added to the day.

Maylies is an absolute gem. She is so down to earth and easy going. She obviously loves her craft and it shows in her work. She can find the emotion and intimacy of a moment and then can wrap it in joy and light. And then she sprinkles her own magic on it. I truly can’t say enough. Maylies has done a family shoot for us in our home and our wedding and is now officially our family photographer for-EVER! My 2 & 3 year olds keep asking when Maylies can come back to play. She was so so amazing with my babies. She is a breeze to work with, helped direct us, dove practically waist deep in a lake to get that “perfect” shot, was detailed, and organized but most importantly takes the most amazing incredible photos. I would recommend her to anyone with no reservations. If i could give more stars I would!!!

Investing in a fantastic photographer for your wedding is very important! After being married for 3 years now, my wedding photos that Maylies took still give me goosebumps! She captured everything I could possibly have hoped for and being able to look back on them now is the best gift. If I have any advice, it is to hire her for as long as possible, you won’t regret having too many of her photos, trust me!!!
