Definitely worth the money!
I was searching for someone who was easy to contact, looked friendly, and had smaller affordable photo packages for shorter photoshoots. I knew I wanted to book Megan immediately when I saw her packages!
During the shoot, I wasn’t sure what we would do in terms of poses that would look good, but Megan’s direction made it really easy. It was very relaxed, and her suggestions and instructions were easy.
Megan was easy to communicate with and schedule, the session was relaxed and fun, and the photos turned out really well!"

So much fun!
We immediately knew we wanted to book with Megan and Amanda after a phone call - the conversation went really well and we knew Amanda would fit the vibe we were looking for. We dislike photos that are very PDA forward, and we’re looking for a photographer who would understand and respect our comfort level.
Amanda was always positive and easy to be around, and she made everything more relaxed. She captured our favourite moments of us and guests!
Megan was super helpful during the process with planning our day-of-timeline. Megan looked at our plan and made suggestions, as well as helping us find makeup and hair artists.

She provided invaluable support with timeline suggestions, regular check-ins, and vendor recommendations, making our wedding planning process so much smoother. Her attention to detail and commitment to our special day were truly exceptional.
We were also incredibly fortunate to have her associate, Nick Dueck, as our videographer. Nick was amazing, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about how phenomenal both Megan and Nick were. Their warmth, professionalism, and talent made our wedding day even more memorable.

We had Giulia for our Hamilton, ON wedding. The communication was amazing, pricing was more than reasonable, and the team just brought great vibes the whole way through the process. Not having a wedding planner and doing everything on my own, I knew that photography was something I did not have to worry about once signing the contract. The photos had a quick turnaround so we had them ready to view when we came back from our Honeymoon! They all turned out so beautifully! We were looking for photographers who were 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly and who would make us feel safe and comfortable on our day. We wanted an editing style that had natural colours. We found all of this and more with Megan's team!!
When we found Megan’s work, everything looked really fun! We loved that there was such a great variety of smiling people and that the colours were vibrant. We also loved how many people included their pets!
We were most nervous about posing, but Amanda made the posing part so easy - we just felt like we were hanging out outside with a friend, which is exactly what we wanted.
We love the candid moments and the moments where you can tell the smile is genuine. Amanda putting us at ease really helped with this. Photography is 100% worth it for a wedding expense, and the team made everything so easy. We can feel that both Megan and Amanda love what they do.

We were looking for someone to capture authentic shots of us on our day with a nice bright, realistic style. It was also important we found someone we liked as a person, as we’d be spending most of our wedding day with them. Megan knocked it out of the park on both accounts!
We knew after our zoom consultation that she was the right photographer for us. It was easy to chat with her, she answered ALL our questions, and it just felt like she “got” us. I reccomend doing an engagement shoot as it was lovely to meet her and get a sense of how photo shoots work, haha. I also love having beautiful photos of my partner and me in our non-wedding clothes.
Our wedding day was fantastic and Megan made us feel so comfortable as she captured everything. It was so easy working with her, we didn’t even really notice she was there! Our friends thought she was just another one of the guests taking photos.
Megan is easy going, professional, knowledgeable, and made our day stress-free, and fun. Not to mention, the pictures are gorgeous and she captured so many heartfelt moments between us and our friends & family. Thank you!Megan Maundrell Photography's reply:

When first searching for photographers, I was just searching for anyone local. I heard many horror stories of photographers not showing up on time, photos getting corrupted, or being withheld.
When I first found Megan, I thought her photos were stunning. Megan markets herself as a person behind the camera, which really helped to build trust. We knew she was the photographer for us when she had the best price without sacrificing the quality of her work!
During the wedding, Megan was always open to trying out ideas we had. She was very laid back and was a quiet observer of everything that happened, which made amazing candid photos throughout the day that we absolutely love.
Megan went above and beyond for our wedding! I can’t pick just one favourite photo - there are more beautiful shots than anticipated. -

I haven’t worked with many photographers in the past, so I really wasn’t sure what to look for or expect.
I was a little concerned about being awkward in front of a camera. My fiancé and I have never gotten professional photos together, so we weren’t sure how it would go as we’re both a bit camera shy.
But, working with Amanda was great. I didn’t really want anything too cheesy or cliche, and Amanda had great ideas that I really liked. She was calming, fun, motivating, and most importantly made us feel comfortable. 100% would work with her and Megan again!
I absolutely love how Amanda captured the most natural moments between my fiancé and I. You can really see the love my fiancé and I share for each other and that’s really special to me. I now have priceless memories captured on film that I can look at everyday.

We booked Amanda Reed from Megan Maundrell Photography for our June 2022 wedding in Gibsons, BC. We received our wedding photos back within 2 weeks and they are incredible!! Amanda was also super fun, chill, and amazing to work with.
We found Megan Maundrell Photography through an online search and immediately loved their website and energy. Everything from our initial inquiry through to the booking process has been amazing.
