I am from Vancouver and my husband is from PEI -- we planned our DIY wedding from Toronto and Vancouver, and Melissa is truly the one vendor, if I had to choose, that I'd give up any other for in a heartbeat. From our first email exchanges from provinces apart, Melissa was kind, friendly, supportive, and encouraging. She responded to me within the hour! We lucked out and ended up booking her last available summer 2018 date and I couldn't be more grateful for it.

I really wanted to find a photographer who could somehow capture Michael and I, just as we are together, and bring back the feeling of that moment every time I looked back at it.
I was drawn to Melissa's vintage-yet-fresh, candid, connection-saturated style that comes through in her entire portfolio.
We were also looking for a photographer that could help us feel comfortable being in front of a camera (historically, neither of us really liked having pictures taken of us so we were nervous). We did an engagement shoot twelve months before, and we actually had so much fun! The pictures from that day are beachy, golden hour perfection. We have pictures where the smiles we have are caught in our eyes.

When we finally got to the wedding, Melissa was right there with us every step of the day. Planning a wedding from across the country was never going to be easy, and lots of little things didn't go the way we thought they would, but Melissa and Jake were phenomenal and went above and beyond (hiding in giant flower patches, running through tidal pools, sneaking a few of my dad tearing up). The pictures we have will be something we will forever be in awe of and admire.

Everyone who sees pictures from our wedding immediately asks who our photographer was - I love telling them about Melissa's photography. I look back at my pictures and I feel beautiful.
