—I started with products, then people. It was a natural evolution of wanting to improve my skills and earn a greater income.

—Emotion and skilled editing.

—I am!

—What do you like most about your profession?
—The flexibility to spend time with my family first.

—The stigmas associated with photographers. That we simply take a photo and our job is done.

—Smaller, more intimate events. Less full day coverage and more hourly needs.

—Each couple is special and unique.

—How do you handle criticism?
—I take it with a grain of salt. It's important to recognize where the criticism is coming from.

—Are there any trends in wedding photography?
—Posed emotion!

—What should be the criteria for a bride and a groom to choose their wedding photographer?
—First they really need to love the photographers work. It establishes a level of trust and reassurance that the final product will make them happy. After that, it's nice if you connect with your photographer on a personal level. If personalities don't jive, it'll 110% come through the photos and kill everyone's buzz.

—What things are to be avoided when shooting?
—Not much on a wedding day. I'd say it's more about working with what you have. But I won't take risks that could physically harm someone.

—What things that common people don't usually see can a wedding photographer notice?
—dark under eyes, uneven skin tones, lipstick on teeth, lint, stains, hang nails!

—What influences the value of a photo? What are its elements?
—As in monetary gain? Well I guess it depends on the photographers overhead and costs of doing business in addition to the kind of lifestyle they would like to have. ie: How much they would like to take home after all is said and done.

—What person can be the symbol of the 21st century in your opinion?
—Woman.

—Who do you want to take photos of?
—People who have a story to tell.

—Do you have any professional taboos?
—As much as I don't consider myself a "technical" photographer, they need to be sharp and I don't find grain to be fashionable. It's very, very distracting!

—What do you worry about, and why?
—I worry about supporting my family. My husband has supported me through this dream and I hope to eventually do the same.

—What is the most impressive moment in your life?
—the day I gave birth to our son.

—I don't like cartoons. lol...

—Ability to truly live life while doing something of value.

—respected.

—not networking enough.

—very lightweight, versatile clothing. My camera bag and gear.

—Every time I shoot, I critique my work.

—Unsure

—The business requires far more hours than shooting.

—Passion

—Should your parents have been more or less strict?
—ug... maybe just more present.

—If you could go back in time, what would you do differently?
—I would have followed my gut and spoke more freely.

—What do you do in your spare time?
—Hike and travel.

—What's the side of you that the public never sees?
—I'm very hard on myself and suffer from mood disorders. This causes a lot of highs and lows in my life. Hiking really helps.

—when the lighting, the shooting, the editing, the emotion, the subject and the land all tie together like art.

—Do you believe in the traditional roles for men and women?
—Nope! But I am the primary caregiver.

—yes!

—on a water front property with some land.

—Is there life after marriage?
—yes.

—Both, we have a Puggle and 2 British Short hairs. They are all basically dogs.. ha!

—Simple pleasantries.
