Before I had even met my now husband, I had see how Nordica tells the story of a wedding and it was love at first site...I had them on my mind ever since. Fast-forward to 3 years later, engaged and planning a wedding in Iceland. I requested to work with Nordica...but here's the thing....it's not just about you wanting to work with them, they want to make sure that they want to work with you. Before they make the booking, they ensure that the couple and the photographers will be a good fit and honestly, I'm glad they do vet. It ensures that you and them are on the same page from the start.
After the booking, we had a few email exchanges and they were always very clear in emails and prompt with replies.
For the event, I put my trust into their capable hands. I gave them the run of show for the day, I had prepared a small shot list for family pictures and had 1 or 2 particular requests for the wedding party photos...and that was all.
They were the perfect mix of blending in, being friendly and disarming, but always with their eye on schedule, on the light, on how best to capture the moment.
I cannot say enough positive things about Nordica. They are awesome people, amazing photographers and they will in no doubt capture your day beautifully.

I don't even have words to describe how amazing Jakob was. From the first emails we exchanged, he and Cole were not only professional and quick to respond, but also genuinely excited about photographing our wedding and joining in the adventure with us. We eloped to the Lofoten Islands in Northern Norway, and Jakob perfectly captured the breath-taking scenery as well as the small moments. Not only is his work superb, he's a wonderful person: very kind and up for any adventure! Thanks to him, we have photographs of our wedding day that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

I had met with Cole over a year before our wedding and knew that I would hire him for our day. Our emails leading up to the big day were very professional, prompt and clear in terms of the contract and vendor expectations. In general, you have to understand that photographers' are on the higher end of cost and there's absolutely a reason why -- they do an amazing job.

By the time our wedding rolled around, he had moved to Sweden with his family so he flew into Vancouver (I believe) the night before. He showed up to the hotel at 10am on the day of and IMMEDIATELY hit it off with the bridesmaids, the moms and the hair/makeup crew. He was very quiet, he said to ignore him because he'd be taking pictures all over the place. Cole went to the Groomsmen's room for a couple hours before our pictures at 1pm and to be honest, I heard it was awkard at first -- none of the guys had met him before. But in no time, they all got to know each other and Cole fit right in. We did our first look and bridal party pictures well before the ceremony and it was A LOT of fun! We walked around Coal Harbour and Gastown mainly and the great thing was, Cole was totally open to us going into The Cambie (a total dive bar) to do some shots (figuratively and literally). He was laughing, we were laughing, we had a great time overall.

In summary, Cole is a photography Ninja with an eye for art and we wouldn't have changed anything. We only have our slideshow for now and we wouldn't change a single thing. We're so happy to have Cole work on our special day.... If you choose to go with Nordica, you won't be disappointed!!!

I stumbled across Nordica’s website after combing through countless generic wedding photography companies and was instantly blown away by their unique style. Their photography had much more of an artistic edge to it, and was very refreshing to look at after seeing the same cheesy love shots over and over on the other sites.

My husband and I are both quite shy in front of a camera and probably not the easiest people to photograph, but Cole and Jakob made us feel totally comfortable during our engagement shoot. When we got the pictures back, we were absolutely stunned with the results! We used our engagement shots as a background slideshow during our wedding reception, and our guests were so impressed that two of them ended up booking Nordica for their own weddings!

Cole and Jakob managed to remain a constant yet discreet presence throughout the entire wedding day, from the morning setup to the end of the party. We were delighted to return home after the wedding and see our wedding photo files in my inbox - even earlier than promised! We could not have been more thrilled with the photos. Even though there were only two photographers there, they seemed to have been able to be everywhere at once. They managed to capture every significant moment of our wedding day. Our collection of wedding photos is so diverse and extensive that we have had a hard time narrowing down which ones to include in our album. Take my word for it - that is a very good problem to have!

Throughout the entire process, Cole and Jakob were extremely professional and easy to work with. Enquiries were responded to promptly and thoroughly. Every step of the process was explained in detail to us so that we knew what to expect. I am so grateful that we have such incredible photos to share with our family and friends, and that we will always have these photos to capture the beauty of our wedding day.

I believe the most important part of planning a wedding is picking your photographers. After all, the special day comes and goes, but the photos are all that remains. So when it was time for me and the Mr. to tie the knot, I was as picky as it could get! I went to tons of wedding shows, browsed through all wedding magazines I could get my hands on and contacted the very best in the industry. Although we met with some professionals with a high quality of work, none of their portfolios really “wowed” us. That was until we met Cole and Jakob of course! There is just something special about these guys. Their passion for what they do and their keen eye to catch details that almost no one else pays attention to, were among the top reasons we were immediately fascinated by these guys.
But not only Cole and Jakob are extremely talented and professional, they are also super nice, easy going and punctual. I worked with a lot of vendors throughout my wedding planning process and have had some rather unpleasant experiences with some of them. But when it came to Nordica there was always peace of mind and the feeling that we were in very capable hands. Whenever we contacted them and had a question or request, they would quickly get back to us and were as polite and flexible as it could get! At every stage they delivered before the date they had promised and eternalized our memories by their amazing shots and the albums that were tactfully designed to tell the story of our day.

Me and my Anna got married in June 2016 pretty much as far away up in the Swedish mountains as you can get above the polar circle. Jakob from Nordica stayed with us during the whole weekend and our experience with both him as a photographer moving around among friends and family as well as the result is just stunning. I would any day recommend my friends to go with Nordica to capture their wedding.

Jakob has a very humble and discretion way to work and it´s very easy to feel relaxed and natural around him. We sometimes hardly noticed him and yet, he has captured even more amazing moments than we can recall ourselves.

We love they way Nordica is focusing on the whole experience and everything around the wedding. Like they say - it´s not just another pretty dress.
