Amazing photographer!

Nova is an amazing photographer! She is personal, professional and makes the whole process seem so easy and natural.
We both went into our engagement photos feeling like we would be awkward and not knowing what to do, but she guided us through everything and made it so much fun! She had an amazing beach location and we were SO happy with how they turned out and knew our wedding photos would be amazing as well.
On our wedding day she was punctual, captured everything we wanted (plus more!), and was once again so fun to work with. We have had so many compliments on our photos and have since recommended her to anyone we know looking for a photographer. Her style of photos are exactly what we were looking for and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.

Stunning Photos!

Photography was the first thing we booked. No questions asked I knew Nova was who I wanted to photograph such an important day in our lives. I’ve have had the pleasure of attending past weddings where she did the photography and let me tell you she goes above and beyond. I’ve seen her save a few weddings by having last minute items on hand when needed, to knowing exactly what to do with unexpected weather or last minute surprises that happen. She genuinely cares about your day and this is what makes her stand out from the rest!
We had our engagement shoot booked first and it turned out to be the hottest and rainiest day we had seen in weeks but Nova knew how important it was for us to get these photos done. She didn’t cancel or rush us; instead she patiently waited out the rain and with a window of opportunity she got to work making things comfortable and fun. The photos came back in time and we had so many to choose from and they all turned out stunning!
On our wedding day Nova and her husband Matt got all the shots we wanted and more. Her attention to detail is spectacular! They even managed to sneak us out for a few sunset photos which gave us as newlyweds a moment away from all the hustle and bustle to relax and take it all in. These are by far some of our favorite photos that we will treasure forever!
Not only do we love Matt and Nova but our guest did too. They had nothing but great things to say about the two of them and the work that they do!
If you are newly engaged and needed a photographer I sincerely suggest Nova. She will take any photo stress away from you and let you enjoy your day to the fullest! Thanks again!! xoxox

Awesome photographer!

We had such an amazing experience having Nova shoot both our engagement photos and wedding! Her and the other photographer, Aroha, did such an amazing job of making us feel comfortable during the whole day. She helped keep the mood light when we were both nervous (eg. with my husband while he was waiting for me for the first look). When we got our pics back we couldn't be happier - we felt they were such an accurate and authentic depiction of what our day was like. We didn't want a lot of "staged" photos, and she did an excellent job of capturing our day in a way that was candid and beautiful. We would highly recommend her to anyone!!

Blown away!

Nova is absolutely amazing! Not only is her work stunning but she is also exactly the kind of person you need with you for your special day. She is a kind soul and so so helpful. She kept in contact throughout the entire wedding planning process - she answered all questions and she was very helpful with suggestions and planning tips. Leading up to the big day, she let us know exactly what to expect (especially in terms of scheduling) and we were able to work out all the small details that needed to be in place for the wedding.
On the day of, she was incredibly organized and helped us keep the flow of the day moving.
Throughout the wedding day (and our engagement photo session), Nova kept the mood very relaxed and it felt natural taking picture (as much as it can be for 2 people not used to having so many photos taken!) The photoshoots were a breeze and the ends results were AMAZING!
We are so happy we found Nova and we would very happily and strongly recommend her to anyone! Thank you, Nova!

Beautiful, Talented & Professional

From the first moment that we met Nova we knew we didn’t have to look any further for a photographer! It’s not very often that you meet someone and feel like you have known them your whole life – she has an incredibly kind and welcoming approach. We knew it was going to be an easy and FUN process. Aside from producing the most beautiful photos ever, Nova was also very approachable throughout the whole planning process, always being so responsive to emails and questions. We were SO lucky to work with both Nova and her husband Matt on our wedding day. They were very professional, made everything go so smoothly, and of course captured amazing photos. It’s been one month since receiving our photos and we still look at them at least once a day! Nova - we can’t thank you and Matt enough for being our photographers... your hard work, professionalism and dedication to your business is truly admirable. We can’t wait to work with you again!

Nova has genuine talent and sincere love of what she does

I've had Nova capture some of our most treasured memories and I can truly say she has a talent like no one else! Her images are ones we'll cherish forever. Memorable and heartfelt

Nova has done our wedding pics, as well as out Christmas and Spring family photos and I literally cry every time I look at them..especially our wedding photos (no joke) She captured all the moments so perfectly you can feel it all over again. She's great at giving direction, being creative and making memories last forever.

The beautiful & talented Nova

Can not express fully how much I love the photos nova had captured for our wedding this year they are beautiful! Nova has exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier 💗 she is a beautiful person inside and out which allows you to feel so comfortable while she captures your special moment. We are so unbelievably happy we chose Nova for not only for our wedding but also for our engagement session. Cannot wait to work with Nova again ☺️

Excellent Photographer

We can’t say enough great things about Nova and her assistant Aroha for our wedding in June 2018. We wanted a fun and exciting photographer to capture our special day, and they were exactly that. Both were very enthusiastic and they were able to capture a lot of what we wanted in a short amount of time. It did not feel rushed and they allowed us the time to enjoy every moment. Nova was extremely professional, helpful and friendly throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was extremely quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. The photos we received are amazing. Our friends and family have had nothing but compliments on the final product. It was wonderful to work with NovaMarkina Photography and we would definitely recommend them for any wedding or event.

Amazing Photographer!

Nova was such an amazing photographer to work with! Even before I signed a contract with her she made me feel important. She immediately made time to talk on the phone and even meet in person to discuss what I was looking for and determine whether or not she was the best person to provide that to us. Right from the get-go she had our best interest at heart which is one of the reasons it felt so right to choose her for our special day.

From then on she upheld this standard of service while shooting our engagement photos, delivering the photos on in a timely fashion (the final product was amazing!), she kept me organized by helping answer any questions I had when it came to planning the wedding day, and maintained communication after the wedding to help deliver our photos and put together a photo album.

One of the most special things about Nova is that she is extremely personable. Not only does she provide a photography service, but she also includes so many sweet touches like sending us hand written thank you notes -- she even sent one ahead of the wedding that included a gift card for Starbucks! It really made us feel like we were important to her and that we were in good hands.

On top of all this, Nova is incredibly talented. My husband and I are so happy with all of the pictures we received while working with Nova. She did a great job directing us and our wedding party (which can be tricky sometimes!) so that we got all the photos we'd wanted, and more. We received many compliments afterwards on how well our photographers did at our wedding, and one of my bridesmaids even ended up recommending Nova to her cousin! I'd 100% recommend NovaMarkina Photography!
