Philosophy Studios (formerly Eva Derrick Photography) is a full service wedding and portrait studio that loves to tell the story of your special day through strikingly beautiful images. The highly sought after studio is located in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. Eva and her team focus on getting to know their couples so that they can make them feel comfortable in front of the camera, in order to capture authentic images.

Experience

Eva is joined by a team of great photographers, who are Joel, Megan and Sarah. They have been shooting weddings for more than 12 years and their work has been featured in publications such as Weddingbells, Elegant Wedding, Style Me Pretty, and much more.

Services offered

Philosophy Studio offers several different wedding collections. You can choose from a digital only package or a artisinal print collection. These include services such as full day coverage, high-resolution proofs, and much more. Portrait sessions complete with matted prints are available.

Dreamy photos of our Perfect Day!

Photography is a service not to be neglected for your special day and that’s why we did not hesitate in securing services with Philosophy Studios! The portfolios of all the photographers are beautiful. We chose Eva as our primary and were blessed to have Sarah as a second for our wedding day. From the initial contact with Seija who managed all our correspondence and questionnaires, engagement shoot and actual day of wedding we felt cared for, listened to and special. We were a bit nervous about engagement shoot and we were blown away with the results! Our vision for both shoots were realized and the attention to detail and quality was unbelievable. We can’t stop looking at our gallery! We are so thankful to Philosophy Studios for capturing this very special milestone in our relationship!

The best wedding photographers!

We are so happy with our beautiful engagement and wedding photos. Joel and Justin did such a wonderful job and went above and beyond on our wedding day and were so accommodating. Eva was an absolute pleasure to work with taking care of all the other details. We are so glad that they were a part of our special day.

Talented, kind, and professional!

We are so glad we hired Eva to be our wedding photographer. From our first phone call, her experience, professionalism, and kindness spoke for itself. She and the team at Philosophy Studios were very communicative throughout the planning process, which was so helpful and appreciated. Eva made us feel completely at ease during our engagement and wedding photos—no easy task! She provided just the right amount of direction while also capturing candid moments, which was exactly what we communicated that we were looking for. On our wedding day, Eva and Bella were extremely organized, which helped keep us on track. We even had guests comment on how great they were. We're thrilled with how our photos turned out and would recommend Philosophy Studios without hesitation!

Wedding Photography

We are so thankful we decided to choose philosophy studios for our wedding photography.
My husband and I have been lucky to work with Eva and philosophy studios since 2019, and we do not have enough good things to say! Eva was with us through our 2 postponed wedding dates due to covid, and she was incredibly accommodating. She was so sweet and supportive on our wedding day and went above and beyond to ensure it was perfect. Not to mention her photos are amazing. Eva is such a lovely person and is an incredible photographer. We highly recommend her for any of your photography needs!

Amazing Suprise Proposal

My fiancé planned a surprise proposal at a winery in Niagara-On-The-Lake and Eva was fantastic! She went out of her way to scope out the location and find the perfect angles well ahead of time. When the winery changed 'the spot' at the very last minute Eva did not hesitate to go with the flow! She moved her set up into the new location without catching my attention at all. She was very professional, but also made us feel perfectly at ease. We received our edited pictures very promptly and they were absolutely stunning. We hope to have her at our wedding in 2019. Thanks Eva!!

Eva is an absolute dream! My husband and I had our wedding in July 2016, and Eva did our photography for our wedding and our engagement photos Not only was she kind, personable, and thoughtful, she has an eye for super romantic photos! We are beyond happy with our photos !! Thank you Eva!
