Great and Professional Service!
TLDR: We hired Shivani to do our reception event (4 hours) and she was amazing and our pictures came out great. She provided our photos back to us in a timely manner (2 weeks). She provided great direction and made our lives as the bride and groom much easier in terms of planning. She was incredibly flexible both with spur of the moment requests and was able to adjust when our event was delayed slightly. We cannot recommend her enough and got compliments on our photos from friends and family.
What drew us to Shivani was both her affordable rates and her photo editing style. We really liked how the colours in her photos were vibrant but not overly saturated and looked natural.
When first meeting with Shivani, she was very helpful with her advice for what package would fit our needs and did not pressure us or up-sell us on additional services that we didn't need. She was also able to adjust easily when we wanted to change our photography package and add on video.
On the day of the event, we had planned to do a short portrait session outdoors. Shivani provided us with a few locations. She was very open to any location, but the suggestions were especially appreciated because it took that job off of our plate and reduced our mental load.
Before the actual outdoor portrait session, we were not sure if it was going to rain. She was very flexible and was ready to adjust to an indoor location if the weather did not cooperate (luckily it did, so we were able to do our portrait session outdoors). Again, she also provided alternative locations so that we had solutions we did not have to do the research ourselves. During the photo session, she made us feel comfortable especially because neither of us are naturally photogenic.
She then met us at the event. We had created a 'shot list' which we had set up to do during the cocktail hour just before guests were arriving. She was able to help us get through all of our shots and give direction so that we could get the photos that we wanted in a quick and timely manner. This meant that we did not have to our small niece (who is 3) more than we had to, or ask our elderly family members with mobility problems to move in and out of photos more than needed. This was incredibly thoughtful and profession of her.
We planned to get a photo with each table coming up to our stage, and we had some concerns about people lingering too long and running out of time. However, Shivani was managed our time so that we got great pictures, no one felt rushed off the stage and also even had enough time for some more fun and goofy poses.
While our focus for video was mostly to get specific moments like our walk out, first dance, speeches etc., she also had organized the videographer to get short video messages from our guests during the early parts of the reception, which we thought was a great idea and was something that we had not even talked about ahead of time!
If all of that has not sold you on her yet, she went above and beyond for us. Our reception was running about 15-20 min late. To make sure that she was able to capture some of the dance floor, she made sure to let us know so that we could adjust and stayed later so that she was able to deliver those dance floor photos to us. This was amazing and we cannot thank her enough for capturing our wonderful night on (digital) film.
Afterwards, Shivani got the photos back to us in 2 weeks as promised and also sent us along a USB with the full resolution photos and videos. She also let us know that we could request photos be edited if needed.
Overall, we were so happy with every step of the experience. that we cannot recommend Shivani enough. -

Amazing experience
I searched extensively for a photographer for our civil marriage ceremony at Toronto City Hall and decided to go with Shivani. From the start, I knew I made the right choice—she was incredibly professional. Communication was seamless, and she was very responsive, clearly explaining every detail. On the day of the event, she arrived on time and captured the most beautiful moments. The photos were delivered quickly and with excellent quality. We absolutely loved working with Shivani! -

We hired Shivani for our wedding after she did our newborn session, because we love her style and she is very professional and lovely to work with. There was a little mishap with our dates, but she worked it out and we had an amazing time and just received Photo Booth pictures so far but even those turned out amazing. Can’t wait to see the rest in a couple weeks! Definitely recommend her to everyone! -

Perfect way to capture our story
We worked with Shivani for our engagement shoot and then a year later for our wedding! We loved how our photos turned out, even the ones where we were not posing for the camera. Shivani is timely, efficient and has a good eye for important details. We would recommend her in a heartbeat! -

I found photography by Shivani at the Toronto Bridal Show and really liked her photos and also her straightforwardness. Response time through email was amazing throughout the whole process. The day of, Shivani was very flexible with the timing (we started a little earlier for our first look photos and then had an issue with our first dance being moved later and she was totally great with staying with us to get those photos). She was great making sure we got every photo we wanted! We had our night wedding at Ancaster Mill in January 2024 and the photos were beautiful! She was very direct and great with dealing with a large group people, making sure we got photos with everyone quick and efficiently during the cocktail hour. Everybody said she was amazing and loved her assertive and proactive personality. She was focused on us and making sure we were priority even when guests from the other wedding going on at Ancaster had gotten in the way of our first look photos. Really happy we went with Shivani and I really would choose her over and over again as our wedding photographer -

Shivani was an amazing wedding photographer! I was drawn to her style of photography, which is bright, true to life, with no filters. I love how our photos turned out! Shivani was able to capture the joy of our wedding day. She also did our ceremony and reception video, capturing the whole day. Shivani was great to work with, very responsive to emails, and a pleasure to have around on our special day! -

Shivani captured our wedding day so beautifully in late October! During the planning phase, she was very prompt with correspondence, open to feedback and made edits/updates right away. The day of the wedding, Shivani provided clear directions and suggested creative ideas on actions that got everyone laughing. These candid photo opportunities were what everyone enjoyed the most. The turnaround time for the delivery of her pictures was only 2 weeks! We were able to share it right away, and our family and friends were so excited to see the photos so quickly. We highly recommend Photography by Shivani for all your photo needs! She’s very versatile in the services that she offers (we also went with her for our engagement photoshoot), and very competitive in her price! Thank you Shivani!
