You want to celebrate your love, and I think that's amazing! I believe that every couple deserves the opportunity to celebrate their love - whether that's privately or with the world!
The first time I ever picked up a camera was in high school, when I began documenting wildlife behind my house to help in reducing urban development and its disruption of wildlife habitats.
From there, I continued to learn about photography and the subjects that made me passionate; I was drawn to connecting with people through photographing them. I learned that I had a passion for documentary style photography, especially when working with people, wildlife, and travel subjects.
My experience includes working for Kingston This Week Newspaper and Absynthe Magazine as a staff journalist and photographer, as well as a second shooter for Quirky Love Photography. In post-secondary I studied Journalism and Marketing and worked in the Marketing department of Trent University during my studies.
After my post-secondary studies, I worked as the National ReStore Volunteer & Marketing Coordinator at Habitat for Humanity Canada, where I continued to develop my skills in photography and marketing, as well as administration, human resources and business development.
When I'm not working with photography clients, I continue to work in marketing as the Digital Media Associate at Italo-Canadian Club of Kingston wedding venue.
My mom was always the one with a camera at family gatherings and on every vacation. With an entire wall filled with photo albums, it really was no surprise when I felt the urge to pick up a camera at a young age.
As someone with no ability to create art with my hands, photography was a fantastic way for me to capture the beautiful things in life as opposed to trying - and failing - to draw, sketch, or paint them.
Currently, this is all a side gig of mine (for now). Outside of film, photography, and design, I work as a full-time Banquet Director at the Italo-Canadian Club of Kingston.
