It was a beautiful, perfect day, but definitely full of chaos and a very uncomfortably crazy family. She kept me calm. Helped me create boundaries with certain people and allowed me to experience my wedding day. I am a photographer myself, so selecting a wedding photographer was very difficult and very important. When I met Scarlet in person for the first time, she told me to choose whichever photographer I felt would allow me to be a BRIDE on my wedding day. And that was it. She was it. I didn't for a second think about being a photographer. I just had to get married to my best friend and Scarlet was there for every tearful, laughter filled, beautiful, chaotic moment.

My husband and I can’t say enough about Scarlet. We first used her for our engagement shoot, we were both a little anxious, we don’t really enjoy being photographed but Scarlet instantly made the whole experience incredibly laid-back, she got us talking and laughing and the whole shoot was magic, we both had so much fun! And the photos were absolutely stunning! We knew after such a positive first experience we wanted her to do our wedding. Our wedding was pretty chaotic (two ceremonies in one day, multiple wardrobe changes and location changes) and Scarlet was amazing throughout the day! One thing my husband and I can’t get over is, how many shots she gets, we could not get over how many intimate moments she captured between us, friends and family that we just didn’t even really think she’d be present for but she literally so so so many keepsakes of our day, looking through all of them is like reliving it from beginning to end. I cannot put into words how special the photos she took of us on that day are to us and how emotional we were when we first received them from her. She just works freakin’ magic, can’t really explain it much more than that! From the get go she was awesome to work with. Weeks before the wedding we went of the shot list, she gave us a lot of feedback to the flow of the day and order of shots and just instantly calmed our nerves, much like she did at our engagement shoot. She is very professional but also just so warm and lovely and makes you feel like a friend is taking your photo. That’s how comfortable you feel. Still in total aw of that day and what she was able to capture! She’s the best!

My husband and I are extremely grateful to have worked with Scarlet for our Engagement and Wedding photos. Even from our first meeting, before we hired her, she felt like an old friend. Unlike the other photographers we had met with, she took the time to get to know us. Her warm and bubbly personality helped put us as ease as neither my husband or I love getting our pictures taken.

Scarlet was a dream to work with from start to finish. We initially wanted a quick and easy non-wedding at City Hall, but it quickly ballooned into a more traditional-seeming wedding with constant changes and evolution in our brief period of planning - including a last minute pre-ceremony and a post-dinner drag performance. Scarlet was game from the get go, and was incredibly easy to work with. She spent time getting to know us and our vibes, and then inevitably our family dynamics, and never said no once - or if she did, it was very carefully presented as a better idea or suggestion. In the end we were thrilled with the day, Scarlet and her second shooter Jen's role in it, and of course the photos. We wanted candid and artistic photos rather than the more standard traditional portraits, but we had no cause for worry or concern. Scarlet got it and got us (by taking time to get us) without us giving all that much direction, which could have been challenging. Instead, Scarlet and Jen brought their energy and positivity and guided us through the whole day - beyond mere photography. We could not have been happier to have them be a part of our wedding, our guests loved them too, and the finished products shocked us with how beautiful and joyful and stylish they were. Scarlet is my number one recommendation as a photographer if you want your essence and personality captured in a special moment - a true artist. We hope that there are more special moments to invite her to capture for us in the future!

I have worked with Scarlet many times before for my business and as soon as i got engaged I KNEW I needed to secure her ASAP for my wedding and engagement pics!

Working with Scarlet was incredible! I was initially late to our first meeting, but my husband was there right on time. By the time we got there, they already had inside jokes and were laughing. I knew that minute that she was going to be our photographer. Then I got to know her more and completely fell in love with her passion, vision, and overall kindness.
