Hi I'm Stephanie, the owner of SDuncan Photography. I'm a wedding and lifestyle photographer located in Vancouver who specializes in capturing authentic heirloom photos through a documentary-style approach. I believe that every person should be framed in the moments they've felt the most loved and cared for.
With each snap of the shutter, there is intention. With each prompt or direction, there is intention. My work intends to capture imagery that represents you at this specific moment in this present chapter in your life - authentic and genuine. With each image, I strive to capture the moment in its most accurate form - the natural emotion, the movement and everything experienced in between. Each moment is beautiful in its own perfectly imperfect way.
It is my job as the artist to gain your trust. The formation of such trust begins from the initial contact. I want to know you - the small details like your favourite coffee, what in life makes you tick, and what scares you. When you get to know someone more than the surface level, you feel a sense of comfort together. Any worry you have about being in front of the camera can be addressed and put at ease. The environment of the session, whether a beautiful grass field during golden hour or an intimate wedding ceremony in your parents' backyard, will always feel safe.
