About
Shotlife is a boutique Toronto wedding photography and cinematography studio, recongnized as one of the best in Toronto and published in reputable magazines such as Wedluxe, Elegant Wedding, Wedding Chicks, Weddingbells and more. We are a team of three dreamers - Lusine, Jacob, and Martin - who see the beauty in subtleties, and wholeheartedly devote ourselves to evoke feelings and inspire hearts.
As wedding photographers and cinematographers, we constantly crave that feeling of getting the shot – capturing something beautiful, emotional, meaningful, striking. Having captured over a hundred weddings, we embrace wedding photography as a form of art that tells a captivating story and leaves a lasting impact. With gracious planning, art direction and our years of experience, we love delivering an editorial approach to capture a curated yet authentic perspective of fleeting moments.
We are looking forward to making more happy stories with you! If our work tickles your fancy, get in touch to create beautiful stories together.

Meet the team
I have always had an inexplicable passion for arts. Be it silly kindergarten drawings of rainbows and dogs, or enthusiastic first-tries at painting, or just doing my business studies while daydreaming of living and breathing arts. I knew I would not feel at ease with myself until I express and exploit my creativity. Once I explored the field of photography, there was no way back. I love it for seemingly infinite reasons.
I have devoted my work to weddings because I got married and found it to be the best day in my life. and can now relive those many beautiful moments with other exceptional couples. I get to capture your excitement, anticipation, joy, love, and every other heartfelt emotion in one day. Shooting weddings is not just taking pictures - it is an elevated experience of creative portraiture, photojournalism, exemplary eye for styling, working with literally every lighting scenario possible, meeting hundreds of lovely people, knowing a thing or two about bustling the dress and putting on a boutonniere, and, most importantly, being a best friend. Getting to be the one to tell this story of a heartfelt day through the lens of my eyes is a pleasure, a privilege, and my creative dream.
I started my wedding venture with photography till one day we thought, "hey, wouldn't it be cool if we also did cinematography for weddings?". Everything good starts with an idea, hard work, quite extensive investment of time (and equipment, in this case), and continuous passion for it. This passion of mine greatly stimulates my right side of the brain, while the left side is still occupied with accounting. I spend a significant part of my day daydreaming and running each wedding day through
My other obsession is music - I absolutely love it and can spend a day or two selecting the perfect soundtrack to convey the wedding day emotions. Last but not least, as a Libra, we are said to succeed in two fields, politics and arts. As I am not quite involved in politics, it is no surprise that I got fully sucked into Arts, and I cannot imagine it any other way.
I have always been carried away with whatever lets me dream bigger. While I have given a large piece of my heart to history studies, learning Latin, and writing an occasion poem now and then, Shotlife has long become my inherent outlet for creative satisfaction.
Working with my wife Lusine and brother-in-law Jacob is yet another rewarding part of this venture. We enjoy spending time together, and our wedding adventures bring us even closer. We actually tried to use walkie talkies to continously communicate throughout the wedding days but soon realized it was useless - we know each other so well that one glance is enough for us to know what we are trying to say to one another.
In this ever changing society it is so nice to see that some things stay constant - the strive to share our love, compassion, experiences, emotions, and life with a partner. This becomes an official promise on a wedding day, and it is an honor to be the one to capture this promise and witness the anticipation of a lifetime to future together.
