Steve photographed my wedding in July 2022. Working with Steve was such a breeze from my husband and I’s first zoom call with him to our final wedding photos, we were so impressed with his professionalism, easy-going nature, and care at ensuring our wedding photos were everything we dreamed of.

My husband and I tend to both feel uncomfortable in front of the camera but straight away Steve made us feel at ease and comfortable. We could not be happier with how our engagement and wedding photos turned out and would recommend Steve a million times over!

Silverlight was amazing to work with for our wedding! Steve has a great relaxed vibe but he knows what he’s doing. I have already recommended him to a few friends and I’ll continue to recommend him to my friends and family! Also he must be magic, because even the least photogenic family members look amazing in his shots!!

Steve is professional, yet easygoing, accommodating, yet attentive, thorough, yet flexible, and most importantly (in our opinions), friendly, warm, and responsive. Steve and his assistant helped photograph our wedding day, from us getting ready individually, to doing our first look, to getting married, and to celebrating with our guests.

Choosing a photographer was extremely important to us. We don't take many photos of ourselves and we didn't do any engagement photos either (though Steve did offer an engagement shoot as part of our package). The wedding was a rare opportunity for us to have proper photos taken of us. We wanted our photos to be done well and to accurately document the day and our wedding, so that we could look back on them for many years to come. We knew from the beginning that they would be the one of the most important artifacts that would remain with us after the wedding.

We spoke with approximately 35 different photographers, each with their own style, experiences, and practices. Steve stood out immediately with his genuine interest, care, and hospitality towards us. The venue we chose for our wedding did not exist as an option in previous years, so most of the photographers we met had not done any events in this location before. As a small but important example of Steve's flexibility, Steve was one of the very few photographers that were willing to meet us in our venue and do a quick walk through to get an idea of potential photo spots. On top of being a new, unique venue, being able to get an idea of potential photo spots was doubly important to us as our venue required advance notice and approval of the areas we were going to take photos in. In contrast, many of the other photographers were unwilling to do this and claimed that they would visit the venue a couple hours prior to the wedding and decide on the photo shoots on the fly.

Working with Steve in the months leading up to and on the day of the wedding was so incredibly easy and effortless, qualities that were very invaluable and cannot be overstated, given the seemingly never-ending list of things that needed our attention throughout this period of time. On the day of the wedding, both Steve and his assistant Teri were efficient, skilled, and thorough, which helped to put our minds at ease and reduce the anxiety and nerves of ourselves, our parents, and our wedding party. The day went smoothly, with Steve and Teri taking photos constantly and capturing everything.

Of course, the result of all of this is the actual pictures, which we received almost 2 months ahead of Steve's estimate. The photos turned out so much better than we could ever have imagined! We are overjoyed every time we look at them and received numerous compliments from the family and friends we have shared them with.

The day flew by for us, but thanks to the diligent efforts and creative freedom of Steve and Teri, we now have an abundance of memories to relive and reminisce our special day. We are exceptionally appreciative and grateful to have been able to work with Steve and Silverlight Photography.

Hiring Steve as our wedding photographer was the BEST investment and decision that we made for our special day. There is nothing that we didn't love about his services, his professionalism, and his beautiful job. When we first met him, his friendly and relaxed vibe made us want to work with him instantly (also when we saw the lovely albums that he brought with him, the decision a no-brainer). The day before the wedding he did his research to pick the best spots on the resort to take gorgeous shots. He was so patient with us and he had so many great creative ideas for our poses. Steve literally took pictures of every single moment of our special day. We are so happy with our vibrant and beautiful wedding pictures, and of course we highly recommend Steve.

Now when everything is settled down after the wedding we finally got some time to sit down and write this well-deserved review, which I meant to post.. wait a second - for 6 months! Our wedding was in June and Steve was our photographer. And I want to say that it was THE BEST decision made in our wedding planning. He was highly professional from the first email and gave such a wonderful sense of relief after the meeting, that we instantly wanted to work only with him. Our wedding was very small and intimate, only including our closest family - so we wanted everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed. Steve was everything we could only dream about. Sometimes we would even forget that he was around us. But he managed to capture every single moment of our day (even the ones I missed somehow)! This is something priceless we will keep for the rest of our lives and we really appreciate it. When our family saw the pictures Steve took, everyone were speechless. They turned out amazing! Just like we do modelling for our living or smth. With all his guidance on poses and placement, we couldn't be more happy with the result! Did I also mention that he was flexible to build our own photo package to serve the needs on our day? That's just the best value we could possibly get.
The only thing I would like to mention is the photo editing. We didn't discuss it from the beginning, but I'm sure this is something, that could be added to your package. As this is a very important day in everyones life, you don't want to see imperfections in brides make up, grooms skin and so on - you want to remember yourself all beautiful. I'm a graphic designer myself and did all the edits we wanted before sending pictures to our family. But I see how this can be very important to others. But by any mean this was a very small thing from all the pluses we got. And I wouldn't trust my pictures to anyone else, and I'm recommending Steve to all our family and friends!

Normally, I rely on my uncle through his actions to tell me if a photographer is worth his salt. At a previous wedding, this uncle stood up and took over the role of the photographer as he was fed up with the lack of quality. At my wedding, Steve and his assistant had everything covered. In fact, my uncle literally took a few photos for his own pleasure and took a back seat, letting the photographers do their thing. This was a pleasant and welcome surprise. I will definitely recommend Silverlight Photography to others who may be considering getting married.
