Weddings are inevitably hectic and stressful ordeals, so Simon's calm demeanor is absolutely vital towards producing a set of photos where the bride and groom appear equally calm, allowing for the best possible photos to be captured.

After an initial in-person meeting, Simon scheduled an engagement session with us to be shot in parts of our own neighbourhood. We appreciated this as it allowed us to capture our lives in that particular moment in time, including the places we visit on a daily basis.

We told Simon early on that we thought we'd make poor clients since we had a hard time keeping a straight face near each other, and often made each other laugh. Simon embraced this fact rather than trying to mask it. He has one of those eyes for photography that make his shots so well composed, directing us to duck into alleyways, building openings, and small passageways. The resulting photos were creative, artistic, and professional, while allowing our real personalities to shine through - laughing faces and all.

We had that same amazing experience on the wedding day. I'm still amazed at how much happened in such a short period of time, and equally amazed Simon successfully captured it all. Our wedding day was set in the near opposite setting of our engagement shoot, being in a plush forest rather than our gritty neighbourhood. Simon's versatility as a photographer means he found the right setting, light, and feeling to match the surrounding scenes.

Similar to our engagement shoot, Simon embraced our real personalities. This is part of what makes his work so endearing. He captures you as the best possible version of your authentic selves. I appreciated not having a set of photos with us standing in rigid poses, as anyone who knows us would immediately recognize it as unnatural.

After received our photos from Simon, I joked with him that I already knew my wife is beautiful, but didn't know I could be beautiful too! :) Even after our wedding, we still take pleasure in being amazed at Simon's work on other weddings. He is a talented photographer, and his positive and reassuring style is a perfect complement to the busy schedule of your wedding day.

During the photos I was happy and enjoying myself (I normally hate getting my photo taken). When he took candid photos at the wedding I didn't even notice him snapping great shots!
