Sky was a wonderful photographer. She helped us pose and captured beautiful candid photos of our ceremony. I would highly recommend her to any couple. Our ceremony was an elopement in Banff, AB Canada. She helped us decide where to go for the photos and she listened to our desires and helped us get some of the photos we really wanted. She photographed us at the Tunnel Mountain Reservoir, Two-Jack Lake, and in the woods somewhere between the two! Unlike most photographers in this market, Sky did not charge us extra just because we were wearing our wedding attire. She charged us for the hourly portrait rate and for her travel. We could not be happier with our results, and we do not think the higher-priced photographers could have done a better job.

Outstanding Photo's for our Wedding! Sky is Amazing!

Holy moly! We are SO happy with our wedding photos and how they turned out! Sky was so patient and accommodating with us trying to plan our wedding during the pandemic. We had cancellation, after cancellation and she just kept on rolling with our modified plans, no problems. I cant thank her enough for making the drive all the way out to British Columbia for a last minute final change of plans for our wedding. We got the most gorgeous photos back and I can't thank her enough for the memories she's created for us! Thank you Sky!!

Not impressed

I hired Sky for my wedding before the pandemic and unfortunately I had a terrible experience with her. We received awkward pictures of us (bride and groom) and the majority of the pictures were mostly of the scenery with us very tiny in the picture. I had sent her a list (which she said I did not need to) of certain poses and who I wanted to get pictures with. Afterwards she told me that I should have reminded her of which pictures to take (on the day of the wedding!) I'm saddened that I did not get any pictures that we requested and the ones that we did get were with awkward poses. I'm missing some vital pictures...

I'm missing some vital pictures such as bride and groom solos and there are none classic poses, etc. Sky takes months to communicate back via email which was difficult when I was trying to plan my wedding. When I expressed my opinions afterwards, she gave me an option of doing 40 re-edits, which was done in under an hour - it seemed like she just selected the auto feature for them all seeing how quick it was done and that she just wanted to get it over with and then re-edits we got were not done well. I also was not impressed on the fact she could not photoshop certain things out of my photos when asked. A quality photographer would be able to photostop anything and Sky was not able to do that. I'm disheartened that I'm unable to look back at the biggest day of my life, my wedding day, with pictures that I can cherish. I would not recommend Sky unless you are looking for landscape scenery type pictures. I do have to add that since I expressed that to her, I have noticed she started doing more closeups..which I had none of.

I don’t usually reply to reviews as there is always two sides to a story and in most cases each person feels they have justification for their feelings and that is perfectly fine. However, in this specific situation there are a few things I would like to point out, as it is now almost 2 years past Rochelles wedding date (June 9th, 2019) and I am still receiving untruthful statements and unpleasant comments.

Firstly, regarding the photography list of certain poses this list was not disregarded nor was it specifically not asked for, all that was said was “you can send me a list, but I usually go by the locations and some styles work in some locations...

Exceptionally talented! BOOK HER

My husband and I hired Sky to cover our wedding and our engagement photos. We are both very outdoorsy and were thrilled that her and her husband were willing to join us at 3AM to climb up to a mountain ridge to take engagement photos.
Sky was very attentive to our wishes. She works hard to capture the moments that count, and she has a very unique and creative eye. Highly recommend.

Sky was a wonderful addition to our wedding day. She got us to do a variety of activities and poses and the photos turned out great. The weather was less than cooperative but Sky toughed it out and we got some amazing pictures in the rain. Loved the photos and cant say enough good things about her flexibility and great ideas.

Sky did a beautiful job photographing our wedding! We were over the moon with the photos she captured. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a good wedding photographer. Sky was such a delight to be around and made us feel at ease through the whole photo process.
Sky went to our wedding site ahead of time to pick out locations for photos. She really went above and beyond to create a variety of photos. One of my favourites was one we took while it was dark out. She created smoke in the background and we had only a little light showing from the street lamp. It turned out perfectly!!
Sky is beyond creative! Anyone going with her will not be disappointed

As someone who is a bit camera-shy, I was quickly put at ease. Sky provided great direction during this initial shoot- something which I requested. I treasure these photographs to this day. During the time leading up to our wedding, we were intermittently in communication with Sky. I provided samples of photos that I wished to try during the Big day (including styles, poses, etc). We also requested some advice on different scenic locations in the Canmore area. When the day finally came, Sky incorporated our requests and suggestions with her great artistry and presented us with the greatest gift of all- incredible moments captured on film. I love how exceptionally romantic and elegant the photographs appear. When I see them, I am taken back to that most special time. During the shoots, again, it did not feel that anything was forced or awkward. It felt natural. Sky's approach made me, as well as my husband and entire wedding party so comfortable. Many of my family members, friends, etc remarked at how professional, kind and personable Sky was. Upon seeing our finished photographs, we have received numerous compliments on how gorgeous our wedding photos are. My husband and I are beyond satisfied with SkyBlue Photography. We thank Sky for giving us her time, hard work, incredible skills and artistry and in the end, the photographs we will always treasure.

Sky is simply amazing!!!!! She is so calm which put my husband and I right at ease. She is very professional, excellent to communicate with and her work well... we LOVE our pictures!!! She goes above and beyond for her clients!!!!! We love you Sky and look forward to working with you again!!!!!!

We've just received our wedding photos and we are so in love with them!! They turned out so great. Sky has such an eye for photography. I love that she even came up to us in between speeches and dinner to ask us if we'd like a few more outdoor shots as the lighting was so nice outside. So thoughtful of her and these images turned out to be some of our favourites! She was very professional. I also love that she got some nice photos and group shots of our guests.

The only thing that I noticed is that her response time with email can take a few days and we waited about 11 weeks to...

I love that she even came up to us in between speeches and dinner to ask us if we'd like a few more outdoor shots as the lighting was so nice outside. So thoughtful of her and these images turned out to be some of our favourites! She was very professional. I also love that she got some nice photos and group shots of our guests.

The only thing that I noticed is that her response time with email can take a few days and we waited about 11 weeks to receive our photos BUT we know she was very busy and the photos were well worth the wait! If you follow her faceboook page she will give you sneak peaks so you don't go completely crazy which was awesome.

Sky, thank you so much for the wonderful photos! We loved being able to re live our day!
