The Apartment Photography is a Vancouver, British Columbia-based business run by Jeff and Cat, a couple with a laid-back yet organized approach to photography. The photographers consider you their priority. Jeff and Cat are inspired by every couple’s story. They blend candid, photojournalistic style with fine art style.

Experience

Jeff and Cat first met at UBC, where Jeff was pursuing his undergrad degree in visual arts and Cat was taking the class he was in as an elective. Both of them share a love for travel and are definitely open to covering destination weddings. Jeff and Cat were honoured in The World's Best Photography by Junebug Weddings in 2015.

Services offered

Jeff and Cat cover one event per day to ensure complete focus on your special day. In addition, Jeff and Cat’s work is covered by liability insurance. High-resolution images are provided, along with digital files and albums. Jeff and Cat offer a number of other services that include the following:

• Photography coverage by both Jeff and Cat
• Delivery within eight to ten weeks
• Apartment signature USB and case
• Engagement session

How they work

All the images are delivered as print-ready files with no watermarks. Professional Canon equipment is used by the photographers, such as the 5D Mark III camera and 'L' series lenses. Images taken during the wedding are saved on memory cards and then loaded onto a MacBook. Then, the MacBook is backed up, and another version of the pictures are saved in Jeff and Scott’s editing computer, followed by two copies getting backed up onto the server. Using a variety of editing tools, the team tries to impart a nostalgic look to the images. The black and white photos provided follow a time-tested process that gives a warm, photojournalistic quality to them.
