You can attempt to plan for every eventuality, but sometimes things just don’t go as expected on the wedding day. Crazy weather, kids or pets that don’t follow the script, an emotional parent that just can’t get it together? Jete thrives on the unexpected! So if you and your fiancé have the mindset of going with the flow on the wedding day, then hire this girl! She loves capturing all those little moments that you and your guests will be talking about years after your wedding and absolutely believes that perfection is found in real life, real moments and real people.

How they work
Instead of just taking pretty pictures and giving you beautiful memories, Jete wants you to remember what it felt like to be there. She shoots in a way that makes the viewer feel like a part of the scene. She'll be on the floor, standing on chairs, peering in windows and basically just being a ninja to capture your day as uniquely, but as honestly as she can. She may sound a bit crazy, but she's unobtrusive, and we promise you'll forget she's even there.

Meet the team
Hi I'm Jete! (rhymes with Pete) I'm a wife and a mom and a passionate business owner! Here's a 60 second "get to know me".
I’m disorganized (I like to say spontaneous) in my personal life (definitely working on that… I need a calendar just to remind me about upcoming field trips for my kids), verbal (definitely not working on that), a little bit politically incorrect (it can be fun sometimes) and I like to think I’m pretty rad to hang out with. And maybe not super humble (maybe working on that). I can pretty much guarantee that you will have fun on your wedding day with me around. Unless your personality sucks, in which case I really can’t make any promises.
I kinda stumbled into wedding photography, and decided it’s pretty much the best career path ever, and since I don’t do anything halfway, I’m aiming to ensure your entire wedding photography experience is amazingly awesome from start to finish. I have big dreams, and I’m working hard at chasing them. I’m constantly learning and growing to be able to provide you with images from your wedding that will take your right back to specific moments during your day – the sights, the sounds, the people – and hopefully make you cry. Even 10 years later. Cuz I’m prreettty sure if you cry, then I did a bang-up job for you. Win win.
I joined the Urban Fig team in 2019 and it has been amazing! In addition to running my own photography business, shooting for Jete has been such a fun opportunity and I've loved the chance to meet many wonderful couples!
I'm married to my high school sweetheart and we have the most amazing twin boys through embryo adoption.
I am passionate about spending time in our beautiful province of BC - enjoying hiking, kayaking and campfires under the stars. Photography has given me the opportunity to meet and capture so many beautiful souls and I cherish the relationships formed with every session!
Rhianna's bio is coming soon! But in the meantime, I'm going to brag on her a little. This girl is the sweetest, and will go out of her way to serve others, but she has the perfect amount of sass required to deal with rowdy bridal parties. She works her tail off, and I'm so excited to have her on our team!!
