Based in Lac la Biche, Alberta, V.I.Photography is dedicated to capturing all of the beautiful moments that make up a wedding so that couples can treasure them for years to come. Owner Katharina strives to artfully depict the smiles, tears, and laughter of a couple’s special day through her images. Katharina’s photographs reflect a blend of traditional, modern, classic, and photojournalistic styles. Always looking to capture distinctive lighting, angles, settings, and moods, Katharina is happy to lie on the ground or climb a tree to obtain the perfect shot. Blending the ability to capture both the big picture and unique details, Katharina brings a trained artistic eye to her work.

Experience

Born in Germany, Katharina immigrated to the small town of McBride. She completed high school in Vancouver Island and graduated with a certificate in business administration from the University College of the Rockies in Cranbrook. In 2006, Katharina returned to McBride, where she attended the University of Northern British Columbia and earned her degree in business and finance. During her studies, Katharina discovered a passion for photography which led her to enroll in the professional photography program at the Western Academy of Photography in Victoria, British Columbia. She graduated with a diploma in professional photography and in 2007 launched her business, V.I.Photography. Katharina is a member of the Professional Wedding Photographers of Canada.

V.I.Photography offers Chianti and Dom Perignon wedding packages. Chianti includes an eight-hour session, and Dom Perignon includes a full-day of coverage. Customized packages are available. Destination weddings are also covered. The business has liability insurance and offers the following services: -
