Kirsten is the owner and head photographer of Yellow Butterfly Photography, which is based in Toronto, Ontario. She specializes in family and wedding photography in a contemporary and photojournalistic style. She has been taking pictures since she was first able to hold a camera. She likes to have relaxed photography sessions to capture all the real emotions of her subjects. Kirsten believes that every subject is unique and strives to find out who they are so that she can provide them with a fun and comfortable experience, as well a beautiful finished product.

Experience

Kirsten started her work in photography with a pink Polaroid in 1987, which was followed by several other cameras. She went to school for photography in 2001. After completing her diploma, she took a job as a cruise ship photographer, which allowed her to travel to more than 50 countries while documenting landscapes and portraits. She started Yellow Butterfly Photography in 2009.
