We partnered with Alusha from A Lush Affair for the month leading up to our wedding and the day of. She did an amazing job with the itinerary and making sure everything was perfect for our big day. All of her hard work allowed us to really soak in our wedding day and not stress about the details, because she thought of everything! I can't say enough about how great our experience was.

Short Review: my husband and I could not recommend Alusha more strongly! 10/10! We hired her as a “day-of” (month-of) coordinator, and it was one of THE most important decisions we made in planning our wedding! It isn’t an exaggeration when I say that Alusha was the reason we were able to execute our perfect wedding. With her amazing skill, professionalism, and hard work, she made organizing a December wedding in the Distillery District that overlapped with the Christmas Market look EFFORTLESS!

Detailed Review: Alusha is a WIZARD. Our wedding was absolutely MAGICAL, and it was all thanks to her! It started about a month out from the big day when we sent all our vendor information and rough itinerary to Alusha, where she compiled everything into a document that included contact information, key players, and the schedule for the day. Developing this document was an iterative process, and with lots of help and input from Alusha given her previous experience and knowledge, the final product was even better than what my husband and I could have ever thought of. Alusha’s help was particularly appreciated when trying to figure out our photography schedule: our wedding didn’t follow a typical timeline, so when we were stuck on how to effectively create a schedule for our photographer and figure out where we wanted to go for photos, all of Alusha’s suggestions were spot on and came together perfectly.

For us, it was extra helpful working with Alusha due to her incredible knowledge of venues inside the Distillery District (we had both our ceremony and reception at the Loft). Because of her prior experience, she was able to advise us on how to access the venue (our wedding overlapped with the Christmas Market), what important information to give our guests, how/when to deliver our personal decorations to the venue, the timing for other vendors to arrive, etc. We would have been completely unprepared, given the complexities of the Distillery District if it wasn’t for Alusha!

The photos I attached here are of the venue. We provided candles and some other personal items and had flowers delivered. We gave Alusha a basic description of what we wanted, along with some photos for inspiration, and Alusha was able to put it all together! Taking our first few steps into the finished space took our breath away – Alusha made sure it looked SPECTACULAR!

Alusha was so professional and fun, and her relaxed demeanor was EVERYTHING – it helped us feel super calm leading up to the ceremony! It was precisely the type of “vibe” we wanted for the person who was ensuring that everything was running smoothly. When we were preparing the music to walk down the aisle, Alusha was able to tell each member of the bridal party when to start their walk. She timed it so well!

As an added bonus: our guests loved her! Our MC worked with her closely throughout the night, and he had nothing but positive things to say about their interactions! Along with our wedding party and parents, they loved how professional yet personable and relaxed she was – her energy was infectious, and it helped everyone to take that extra breath to relax and be present in the moment!

As stated above, we 10/10 strongly recommend Alusha to anyone who wants to have a fantastic wedding! She is so skilled and hard-working; we appreciate her efforts to ensure that everything related to the wedding came together for one perfect evening! Alusha was so great to work with from start to finish. We hired her for month of services so that we didn’t have to be stressed out before and during our wedding day. She coordinated with all of our vendors and our together a great timeline, even when some were difficult to get in contact with. On the day of, I couldn’t recommend her more. Alusha was referred to us by our wedding venue and she was fantastic! From the moment I first sat down with her, I felt at ease, which is precisely what you want from a wedding coordinator! It was clear from the get-go that she was thorough, professional, and, best of all, lighthearted and fun!

We had already made some of the big wedding decisions when we were referred to Alusha, so we booked her for partial planning. Alusha was extremely helpful in finalizing our remaining vendors, prioritizing our to-dos, and keeping us on task. In addition to being really responsive and organized, Alusha was my sounding board in the months leading up to the wedding. Alusha was invaluable on our wedding day. The day was seamlessly executed and she made sure that everything went off without a hitch. In fact, there was even a small crisis with a water leak in our reception space and I didn’t even know about it until the next day. That’s how amazing Alusha is - she was so on top of everything and solved problems in a blink. She helped spare us a lot of stress and helped keep our focus on all of the wonderful things about our celebration.

Alusha was truly a joy to work with and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an event coordinator!

We met Alushya through our wedding venue (she came highly recommended through them) and were immediately impressed. We were looking for a day of coordinator and started with a phone call with her to ask a series of questions (we are the type of people who ask a LOT of questions before booking a vendor). We knew within minutes that Alushya was a good fit. She was detailed in her responses, it was immediately apparent that she was experienced and knowledgeable, and she fit the bill of everything we were looking for. Leading up to the wedding, Alushya was fantastic - every time we would email her she would respond immediately, and was always available for calls or even to meet. She was incredible at recommending vendors and services for us to use, and talking us through each process. A week before the wedding, we started to speak with Alushya more frequently, who went out of her way to ensure that we didn't have any stress leading up to the day. She was able to arrange special accommodations with our venue for us leading up to it, and worked with us to drop off all of our items prior to the day of.

On the wedding day, Alushya was an absolute blessing. We truly could not have gotten through the day without her - or with anybody else as a replacement for that matter. She was incredible. Worked hard throughout the day but always calm, took in all of our requests and almost always anticipated things before they happened, negotiated with our vendors, had an amazing eye when it came to decor and set up. Her preparation and organization before the event was so impressive. She knew exactly what was supposed to happen at every point in the evening. We even had a vendor who did not want to give us a deposit back on a flower wall because it got wet, and Alushya negotiated with them that night to get us our entire deposit back. In addition to all of this, she is beautiful, warm, genuine, and on the ball - and all of our guests loved her and wouldn't stop asking about her!

Truly the best in the game, and unrivaled both in anticipation of the day and on the wedding day itself. We highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a planner/coordinator!

Alusha is amazing!! She is so fun and approachable.
She was easy to contact prior to the wedding and always responded quickly. She was an excellent resource for us when we had questions about timing of the day, food & drink, or the layout of our venue.

To anyone reading this who's currently hesitating as to whether they actually need a day or month-of-coordinator or wedding planner: hire Alusha. She will bring your ideas to life and will save you from so much stress. I honestly don't know what I would have done without Alusha on my wedding day; it's thanks to her that I was stress-free and had the best day of my life. We only got access to our venue 2 hours before the start of the ceremony, so it would have been impossible for us to do the set up. Alusha did an amazing job setting up everything as per my (intense and too detail-oriented) instructions, and I was blown away when I walked into the venue for the first time. But where she really saved us on the wedding day was taking care of everything behind the scenes. I'm sure there are some things I'm not even aware of, but I do know that we were running pretty behind with our schedule because greeting guests and doing our sunset photos took longer than anticipated. But Alusha remained calm, came up with solutions to gain some time and just run them by me just so I was aware of what was happening. So many of my guests asked me throughout the evening who the beautiful fairy godmother that was floating around taking care of everything was, and I told them she was the brains behind the operation. I'm usually a very stressed out perfectionist, but on my wedding day I was relaxed because I knew that Alusha had everything under control and knew everything that needed to be done. I don't have many regrets, but the one thing I do regret is not hiring her as my full planner from the start of the wedding process as I could have saved myself a lot of stress. I can't say enough how grateful I am for everything Alusha did on our wedding day, and I highly recommend her; it'll be the best decision you make for your wedding.
