Best decision to hire day of coordinator for wedding planning!

We can't recommend Bonnie and her team at Allure Events & Hospitality enough for being our day of coordinator! Bonnie and her team made such an positive impact leading up to our special day, with coordination with vendors happening both before and during the wedding, taking all the stress off of us as bride and groom. Bonnie and her team were professional and went out of their way to continue to find ways to make our day run smoothly, even bringing and giving out to guests bug spray for our outdoor ceremony! I can't recommend Bonnie enough, especially as a day of coordinator, it's one of the best and most worth it vendors to consider in wedding planning! Thank you for helping to make our day run so smoothly!

Can't recommend highly enough!

Allure Events & Hospitality took so much of the stress of planning our wedding away. Bonnie and her team were superstars leading up to and on our wedding day, keeping everything running smoothly and going above and beyond to give us the best day possible. Thank you so much Allure!

Different experience than other reviewers

We emailed this feedback to Bonnie 2 weeks ago but received no response and feel the feedback will be valuable for future clients.
Ultimately, we don't feel we got everything we signed up for.
- The original contract was 10:30am-8:30pm for TWO people, but in the end, we only had you [Bonnie] there from roughly 1:00-9:00pm (and 2.5 hours later than the contract specified). We had no wedding planner present for the time when we most needed support around noon, and it did impact a few things. [Additional: She sent us an email late on Thursday night before our wedding letting us know that the second person would not be coming but that she would be fine handling everything herself, which neither of us saw until after the wedding because we were busy with family, rehearsal, etc., and it was never brought up in person or by phone. Then on the afternoon before the wedding she told us that she would be 2 to 2.5 hours late due to attending an Open House at 12 on the day of our wedding…]
- Photographer and Videographer couldn't get a hold of you when they were arriving
- There seemed to be some miscommunication between where to go for the photographers. Getting ready photos for the guys were missed despite them being on schedule at the getting ready location for 12:45. We were under the impression that the photographer would be meeting us there at 12:45 and kind of waited around until realizing they were not coming at about 1:30.
- It felt as though our wedding was never really a priority, even the week leading up to it. For example, we had been assured you would send out the schedule to the vendors on Monday at the latest, but instead we followed up on Tuesday afternoon before the wedding kindly asking you for an update.
Once you arrived and things got rolling everything was fine. But ultimately, we are disappointed that we paid $2k for a Day of Coordinator (plus a day of support that never showed up) that, on the day of the wedding, let us down.

Design and Decor

Bonnie and Allure Events & Hospitality were a dream to work with! We booked the “design and decor” package for our wedding and could not have been happier with the outcome. As we live in a different province, it was so helpful to work with Bonnie to take care of all our decor needs, the whole process was effortless. Neither my husband nor I are particularly artistic, but even though we gave Bonnie little to work with, our ceremony site and reception room both looked fabulous. Her ability to deliver stunning decor while being considerate of our budget are the reasons we would recommend Allure to any of our friends or family.

Great Decision!

My husband and I are so happy that we reached out to Allure Events & Hospitality to help plan our wedding while living out of province! Bonnie made the entire planning process easy, seamless, and enjoyable. She truly was a life saver.

Bonnie was with us every step of the way to help with site visits, vendor selection, our budget, design & decor, and our timeline. She took the time to understand our style and what was most important to us. Bonnie’s eye for design and attention to detail helped turn our wedding day vision into reality. We truly could not have done it without her.

From beginning to end, our wedding day was perfect. Bonnie kept our wedding party and family on-schedule and worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure that we enjoyed ourselves without any stress on our special day.

She truly went above and beyond, and we would recommend Bonnie to any newly engaged couple! Thank you for making our wedding such a memorable and wonderful day!

Everything you want in a coordinator!

Bonnie is everything you want in a wedding coordinator and more. She was more than helpful leading up to our special day, answering questions and organizing timelines for us months in advance. I didn’t have a single worry on our big day because I knew she had everything covered both before and during our event. She even picked up some last minute needs on wedding day that had been overlooked. She does all of this with kindness, patience and a calm demeanour. Could not recommend her more!

Hi! My name is Bonnie. Thank you for your interest in our wedding & event planning services - you've come to the right place! If you're visiting this corner of our site you're probably wondering who I am and how I got here...

I have worked in several aspects of hospitality & event management for over a decade and have become a lover of all things related to weddings, events, & hospitality. Consulting with clients and envisioning their celebration, working with vendors on fresh ideas and curated menus, and executing the final event production - I truly love every step.

During the Covid-19 pandemic I, like many others, found myself reevaluating my priorities and nurturing my inherited entrepreneurial spark. I decided to focus on pursuing my true passion - event planning. Soon enough that entrepreneurial spark struck tinder, quickly growing into a roaring flame - and so, Allure Events & Hospitality was forged.

I am a passionate artist and I enjoy utilizing my creative flair to create grandiose and breath-taking design and décor concepts, while focusing on the little details that get noticed. With an eye for attractive design; creating alluring, elevated, & elegant events is second nature to me.

As a proud Caper girl and 'old soul' who hails from a small community in Cape Breton, when I am not planning events I can be found hosting tea parties, crafting, or nurturing my many plants - that is when I'm not snuggling my two cats while watching a Real Housewives series.
