Above and beyond on the wedding day
Our wedding day was filled with laughter and happiness (and tiredness from waking up early for hair and makeup). And to rewind, there was an unforeseen hick-up the week before the wedding where Candy swooped into the rescue for the stressed out and overwhelmed bride and groom. We hired the team more than a year before the wedding and Candy met with us at least once a month to go over what we needed to do and provided vendor details and options for us. We were more than happy with the vendors we selected for the day! I will preface that I am a naturally angsty bride and so I took on some tasks on my own to appease my mind.
Candy joined us for our rehearsal the day before the wedding, and was the best coordinator on the day of the wedding. My husband and I did not need to look at any schedule on the day, and felt like Holywood stars on the day. She and her assistant did above and beyond for us and we are so thankful for them! Our experience with Candy and Sally as our Full Wedding Planning Coordinators was absolutely amazing! From our first consultation to the last moment of our special day, they were always very accommodating and have always listened to our priorities. They took the time to understand our vision, offering creative ideas while respecting our budget. As we all know, planning a wedding is not easy and it comes with a lot of challenges and stress. However, with Candy and Sally as our wedding planners, they made sure that we were stress-free and able to fully enjoy our wedding day and handled any unexpected last minute changes with ease. Most amazing and seamless experience!!
Choosing a wedding coordinator to help with our month of and day of planning was the best decision we made. It was very easy to work with Sally and every step leading up to the wedding, she was there to offer helpful tips and suggestions. Sally is very organized, super detail oriented and responsive. She coordinated with all our vendors to make sure all the details were covered. Most importantly, she made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding and we truly did not have to stress about anything. Leading up to the wedding we had no doubts that we could leave everything in Sally’s capable hands. Thank you so much Sally for putting our minds at ease so we could fully enjoy our special day!Choosing a wedding coordinator to help with our month of and day of planning was the best decision we made. Organized and personable DOC
Behind the I Do/Sally was our month/day-of-coordinator for our wedding. They were one of the best decisions we made in our wedding
Part of the reason we hired them was because of their familiarity of the Chinese tea ceremony. Indeed they were integral behind the scenes in switching out the tea cups and giving us a base to work from.
Moreover, Sally was professional and personable. We had two planning meetings on Zoom and she produced a succinct schedule document — much better than schedules that are 6+ pages! During the last weeks, she offered to be cc’d in all emails to vendors which helped us to know she knew what was going on. She attended our rehearsal and helped run it with our pastor. She even brought faux bouquets for me and my bridesmaids to practice. Behind the I Do also has a small rental business and we were able to rent umbrellas just prior to our wedding — fortunately we didn’t need to use them!
Sally executed our vision perfectly. As a partial DIY couple she was indispensable in setting up our decor. We were able to mostly relax the day because Sally was running the show. There were probably many things that happened that we don’t know of because she handled it all with her assistant.

Best wedding planners!
We would highly recommend Candy & Sally for any wedding!! We booked them as month of coordinators and they did a phenomenal job. Leading up to the wedding Candy was extremely organized, communicative and efficient. Day of she made sure everything flowed seamlessly, translating into the perfect day for us. From the rehearsal to the clean up after the wedding the two of them led with calmness, constantly making us feel reassured that our vision would come to life. Candy even made it possible to have an outdoor ceremony during a 30 minute break in the rain, ensuring our number one wish was met! I can't say enough good things about them, if you are on the fence about getting a planner I 100% recommend that you do it and use behind the I do.We would highly recommend Candy & Sally for any wedding!! Present. Prepared. And all around awesome.
Candy was able to fine-tune the tiny details and provide us everything we would need. From the big schedules to the tiny reception table affects.
She was there in the literal rainy times (storm happened during our wedding day) to the tough tricky times of trying to secure vendors and materials.

The best decision we've ever made
We had hired Sally for their day-of coordination. I am a pretty organized and detail oriented bride so I planned majority of the wedding and needed someone to help me execute my vision. Sally was so supportive for the month leading up to the wedding, helping us nail down our day-of schedule and used their wedding experience to help us make decisions. Compared to a lot of other vendors, Sally was never pushy and never forced us to do anything we didn't want to do - we told her what we were looking for and she made it happen! Since I was a big DIY bride, I had a lot of decor and wedding items which Sally helped set up! It was a huge help as we had boxes of items that we just didn't have time to set up on our own.
Fast forward to the day of the wedding, Sally was there from the morning of us getting ready all the way until the end of the night. In the morning, she took care of all of our details and made sure we were able to eat throughout the day! She managed all of the set up of the decor while we were out taking photos, and helped coordinate my family and friends who were all over the place! Not only that, but she was a key factor and worked with the DJ, venue and photographers to arrange for a special surprise from my wedding party! Any issues that came up, Sally took care of it! Then at the end of the night, Sally packed up all of our decor items which made it so easy for us to pick back up!
Of all of the decisions we've made for our wedding, hiring Sally was probably the best one. We couldn't have handled our wedding without her! Our entire wedding party and our parents were so impressed with how great she was. She's professional, fun and is really the biggest support throughout the longest and busiest day of our lives!We had hired Sally for their day-of coordination. Before meeting Sally, I had many worries about how I would be able to manage my wedding. We realized quickly how helpful Sally was during our meetings when talking about our wedding. She helped raise many important details that my spouse and I did not even consider. We realized how much we appreciated Sally’s insight about our wedding and her professionalism. We both really appreciated how friendly and approachable she is, as well as her commitment and responsiveness. She was able to calmly and confidently manage many challenging situations around our wedding, such as major last-minute cancellations from the venue, crucial miscoordinations with our setup and ever changing COVID restrictions. On the day of the wedding, both my spouse and I felt extremely stressed and anxious but she really took the burden off of us and actually made us feel very comfortable by handling all the coordination with our helpers, vendors and the venue. We really couldn’t have done it without her! 😊Before meeting Sally, I had many worries about how I would be able to manage my wedding. AMAZING! Best decision we ever made!
We had our 130-guest wedding on Aug 28 during COVID, and getting Candy & Sally for our wedding was THE single best decision we made during the entire wedding planning process. Our venue had a day-of coordinator that was included, so at first we weren't sure if we would need a wedding planner in addition. However, Candy was SUCH an asset in every way. We truly do not know how we would have managed without her! Before the wedding, she diligently met with us to go over every detail via multiple calls, contacted all our vendors to get everyone on the same page, sent us packing lists + run sheets to help us prep, ran our 25+ people wedding party backyard rehearsal dinner so smoothly and efficiently. During the wedding day, Candy made sure that all our vendors arrived on time, and helped us coordinate final payments + thank-you cards so we didn't have to stress about a thing. She helped keep us on schedule, troubleshoot every hiccup that came up, kept me calm when I was feeling overwhelmed, treated our families and all our guests with so much kindness & respect, ensured all our DIY decor was set up exactly the way we wanted despite many last minute changes and our wedding being fully outdoors in feels-like-40C heat, and so much more. At the end of the day, Candy spent extra care to make sure that we got all the pictures + videos + experiences we wanted out of the day, in addition to coordinating with our friends and family to pack up the decor + extra alcohol so we didn't have to worry about it or do a thing, and worked with our venue to make sure that we were invoiced appropriately and there were no last minute surprises. After the wedding, Candy followed-up with us to both congratulate us and check in on some important details (like requesting our license, when to expect photos, etc. etc.). While our venue coordinator was primarily available for just the day-of, Candy went FAR above and beyond for us in the months leading up to our wedding, the day of, and following through until the day after. There are no words to describe what it feels like to have Candy in your corner for your wedding -- we have been raving about her services + will 1000000% be recommending her to every single one of our friends! It was such an amazing experience to have the team at Behind The I Do coordinate our wedding day and I would highly recommend them to my friends, family and friends of friends. Sally made the entire process stress-free for my husband and I during our meetings. Every detail was managed and well-thought out. We were truly able to enjoy the big day without worrying about a thing. From coordinating with the vendors, day-of logistics, to following up on details - the team delivered with professionalism and grace. Our guests raved about how well-coordinated everything was and I know this wouldn't have been possible without Sally and Bernice's amazing hard work.
