We'll never be able to thank Maren enough for everything she did for us. When deciding on a coordinator we had talked to a more well-known company in the area who were very unwilling to deal with some of the trickier logistics our wedding presented, instead trying to make us change our vision. Speaking with Maren, she was immediately supportive of our vision and ready to tackle any challenges that arose with enthusiasm. Nothing is impossible for her! She is way more than just a day-of coordinator, she was there to support us and answer questions throughout the entire planning process and has such a calm demeanour that immediately put us at ease whenever we got overwhelmed. She consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything came together perfectly for our day and her attention to detail is unmatched. Maren is incredibly thoughtful and friendly and she kept everything light and fun leading up to and on the big day. In the midst of wedding day chaos, Maren kept everything running so smoothly and she had the magical ability to remain super chill and relaxed throughout it all. She never pushed a strict schedule and let us experience our day without feeling rushed. We were incredibly impressed how beautifully decorated our reception space was, she was so well organized and brought our vision to life perfectly. There were so many small moments that meant the world to us, like making sure we had drinks as soon as we walked into cocktail hour and having a taxi ready and waiting for us at the end of the night. We had the pleasure of working with Maren of Bow Valley Weddings for our July wedding in Canmore! Although Maren was hired as our day-of coordinator, we were able to contact her throughout the planning process whenever we had any questions or just needed some advice. We seriously can’t say enough good things about her - she is an amazing wedding planner! On our wedding day, Maren went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and did an incredible job setting up our decor. She prepared a detailed timeline and made sure that all of our vendors were on the same page. Maren helped run our wedding rehearsal and even brought a bouquet to practice with, which really helped ease our nerves for the ceremony the next day! She also provided some emergency assistance with my veil and helped to keep everyone calm. Both our guests and other vendors complimented Maren’s professionalism and her organization skills. Hiring Maren as our wedding coordinator was the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. Without Maren, I don't think the day would have gone as smooth and stress-free as it did. From the very start my husband and I loved her calm, friendly yet professional demeanour. We were so impressed with her frequent communication and actioning requests quickly. On the day of the wedding we were blown away. She was beyond helpful with grabbing breakfast, steaming my wedding dress and everything in between. At the ceremony she brought such a calm and positive energy to all members of the wedding party as she guided us through the processional. I was so touched to see the level of detail she went into with the decor and keeping in mind special requests I had mentioned earlier. It was so nice to just relax, enjoy and feel like the guests of honour instead of the hosts at our own wedding, Maren took care of everything (including the tear down at 2am!). She is an incredible person and wedding coordinator, I am so glad we trusted our wedding with Bow Valley Weddings. Best decision ever!! :)

Maren did a spectacular job as our day-of-wedding coordinator! We spent a lot of time researching coordinators for our wedding day within the Canmore, Banff, and Calgary area and we definitely feel Bow Valley Weddings was by far the best choice. Maren met with us via zoom, so that we could get to know her and she could get a feel for the day we were envisioning. From our first meeting and throughout the entire process, Maren listened to all the details and was meticulous about keeping track of all of it. As we got closer to the wedding, she reminded us to complete certain tasks, which helped us stay on track. She made suggestions when we asked for her opinion, which was greatly appreciated when both my husband and I had major decision fatigue! About a week before the wedding I was concerned about giving more time to certain aspects of the timeline and Maren reassured me that we could make these modifications. She was in constant communication with our vendors to double check arrival and set up times and made sure everyone knew the game plan. Not only did Maren communicate effectively with our vendors, but also with both my husband and I. Once we hired Maren, I could reach out to her via phone, text, or email and she would respond in a very timely manner. We didn’t have to follow up her with her on anything and she never left us wondering if she had received our messages.

One thing that I really valued from Maren’s service package was her direction at our rehearsal ceremony and being in charge of running it. A lot of coordinators told us that they felt it was not really necessary, but having Maren there to point out things that we wouldn’t have realized and to keep everyone organized was very reassuring. We hired an acoustic duo for the ceremony music, and so we couldn’t prepare with them for the rehearsal, but Maren brought a speaker so that we could practice with some music ahead of time. I felt so much better walking down the aisle knowing everyone was more comfortable.

On the day of the wedding, Maren went the extra mile to help steam my dress at the hotel when I was a bit behind schedule. She made sure all of our florals were transferred from the ceremony site to the reception (which was a lot of work!). All the little details she was in charge of were handled with care, including setting up the table decor, ensuring the drink tickets made it to the right people, and adjusting the lighting when the dancing started. Everything went amazing, and we would recommend Bow Valley Weddings to anyone looking for a spectacular, fun, detailed oriented, organized, and communicative wedding coordinator!

Maren was somehow able to make everything so easy and straightforward. Im very lucky we decided to ask her for help, she had expert knowledge and incredible patience! I can't possibly thank her enough for making everything go so smoothly! Thanks again Maren!

Maren was a godsend when it came to assisting with our day of coordination for our wedding. We didn’t think we needed someone there on the day for the ceremony, but we are so glad we decided to book with Maren. She made the whole process of planning a wedding from overseas a breeze and took away any of the ‘on day’ stresses and organising. Maren was our day of coordinator for our June 2024 wedding. She was amazing! Around 6 weeks out she met with us to make sure everything was on track and developed a comprehensive timeline. She communicated with all of our vendors in the weeks prior to the wedding, which was so helpful. She was an integral part of our day and making everything so smooth. Maren was available the day before our wedding for our rehearsal and decor handover which alleviated stress on the day of. On the day of the wedding, Maren checked in with everyone and all of our vendors. She did everything from finding an emergency lint roller, making sure everything was running on time, to checking in with the bride and groom to get them whatever they needed. Maren is so personable while doing this and even learnt many of our guest names. When we started this process, we weren’t sure that we needed someone for coordination, but can attest now after going through the process that you definitely do! Would highly recommended Maren!!

Wow, where do we even start. When we first started exploring ‘day of coordinator’ options, we had messaged some very known wedding planning services in Canmore, and of all of them, Bow Valley Weddings stood out as being the most interested and the most responsive. She was always an email away and was very prompt to respond to our many questions and she was always one step ahead of everything. Maren was always connected to our vendors and knew exactly what was happening each step of the way. When we were overwhelmed, Maren was there to keep us updated and calm. We handed everything over to her about 6 weeks prior to our wedding and we sat back and watched everything come together like magic. She is caring, genuine, and attentive, while always going out of her way to make sure everything is always perfect. On our wedding day, she really made everything run smoothly, she stayed behind the scenes but got everything done. Even though we hired Maren to plan our wedding, she reached out to us to offer help with our other weekend wedding events we had planned for our guests. We were so amazed at how much Maren cared about us, our family and guests - she is an incredible human being. Even our guests were raving about how our event was executed flawlessly.
