Operating out of Langley, British Columbia, Bright Gray Events specializes in planning unforgettable weddings and day-of coordination services. We specializes in creating, managing and producing memorable events. When it comes to event design and coordinating, Amanda embodies the perfect union of science and art; attention to detail and love for the craft.
Experience
After completing high school in 2004, Amanda decided to pursue her love of hospitality and event planning and earned a Diploma in Hospitality Management and Event Planning. Since then, her passion has only grown and she strives to achieve the perfect marriage of science and art in her planning process.
Services offered
For ceremonies, receptions and rehearsal dinners, Bright Gray Events offers three packages designed to suit a wide variety of preferences and needs. Couples also have the choice to personalize their package. The three packages are:
Day-of Coordination
This package is for the couple who has spent countless hours and sleepless nights curating and designing every detail of their wedding day. Rather than hiring family and friends, creating more stress and having unexpected incidents, they want to sit back and take in every moment of this special day, with no responsibilities. By choosing the BGE Team, we can make that happen for you. We will treat your wedding day like our own, we will review, finalize all details and take over coordinating and communicating with you vendors and create a detailed timeline to make sure you day runs effortlessly. We will oversee all the little details you may have forgot, or you didn’t even know about, of course keeping your best interest and vision in mind.
Our Day of Coordination package begins 6 weeks prior to your wedding day (timeline is flexible based on your needs). We will work with you to tie up all the loose ends to allow your wedding day to proceed with ease. This is perfect for the client who has everything lined up and simply needs a trusted event consultant to review and execute their plans.
Service Includes:
6 weeks prior to your wedding-
- We will provide you with a complimentary one-hour initial phone consultation
- One face-to-face meeting to go over the details and logistics of your wedding
- Venue visit to establish the site layout
- Detailed wedding day timeline for both the ceremony and reception
- Confirm arrangements/deliveries with all vendors for the wedding day
Wedding Rehearsal-
We will attend your wedding rehearsal (up to two hours), helping to coordinate your wedding party (if applicable) and help assist the Wedding Officiant with the coordination of the processional and recessional. If needed we will also collect items to be brought and set up on wedding day such as: signage, candles, guest book, favors, toasting glasses, place cards, seating chart, charger plates, etc.
Your wedding day-
Your designated lead Day of Coordinator & assistant will be onsite for the entire day as per your allotted booking time.
Service includes:
- 10 consecutive day of coordination hours
- Set up and styling of your decor for both the ceremony & reception
- Coordination of the ceremony & reception
- Greeting & directing of guests during the ceremony
- Coordination of the vendor arrivals
- Facilitating of the wedding party arrival & entrance
- Emcee guidance throughout the reception
- Facilitating the wedding day itinerary & making necessary timeline adjustments
- Repurposing your wedding flowers & decor from ceremony to reception site
- Provide payments to vendors on your behalf
- Troubleshoot any unexpected occurrences
- Oversee & assist with take down (If this falls within your allotted package hours-additional hours may be necessary) of reception site
- Access to our Wedding Day kit & all toolkits onsite
Below are a few things our basic package doesn’t include (These are a la carte items and can be added into your package as needed):
- Setup/takedown of chair covers of sashes
- Setup/takedown of string lights
- Setup/takedown of any chairs
- Movement of chairs from ceremony to reception
Our DOC package is customized to fit each of our clients needs on their wedding day. Pricing is based on venue location, guest count, event logistics, services required & other details. This package includes approximately 50 hours of support.
Partial Planning Package
Our partial planning package is the premium version of our Day Of Coordination package and is designed for the couple who have planned parts of their wedding but want assistance in design aesthetics, vendor recommendations, professional advice and management of event logistics for the rehearsal and wedding day. Basically, a well experienced planning friend you will make along the way. This package includes all of the services within the Day of Coordination package plus you will receive two additional meetings (for a total of three meetings), a venue visit to develop your floor and decor site plan, as well as unlimited email communication from the time of booking with us. We will provide you with our extensive industry knowledge which will guide you to successful wedding planning, help guide you with decision making and most importantly, appropriate vendor selections.

FULL PLANNING PACKAGE
Perfect for couples with demanding schedules that realize planning their special day can be a full-time job and want planning assistance from beginning to end. We'll put your mind at ease by managing all-of the logistical details. Our approach to planning and coordination is a collaborative one, and we hope to become your friend and confidant. We will work to help save you money, have the experience to ask the appropriate questions, introduce you to our network of reputable vendors and we will spend countless hours researching, planning and organizing. Throughout the process we'll focus on the areas that are most important to you, handle any curve balls and make sure you're always feeling worry-free. You can choose to be as involved or uninvolved as you wish.
On your wedding day, we will be onsite for the entire day working with the venue and vendors to ensure deliveries and set-up go smoothly, executing the design to perfection.
PLANNING
- Unlimited consultations and conversations via phone or email
- Custom budget creation and management
- Venue visit to create a custom design and décor plan
- Custom floor plan
- Research, recommendations and confirmation of all vendors (you will be just be required to pay your deposit to the vendors)
- Point of contact for the venue and all vendors
- Organization of all rental requirements
- Your point of contact and listening ear for any questions and concerns at any given time throughout the planning process
FINAL WEDDING PREP
- Preparation of your wedding day itinerary
- Coordinate and confirm all vendor drop off and pick up times
- Pick up of any necessary wedding day items (if needed) and deliver to the venue on the wedding day.

EVENT DESIGN AND DECOR
This package works best for couples who specifically want to utilize the expertise of an Event Planner for the design components of their wedding including assistance with the planning and design of florals, décor, rentals, lighting, floor plan, signage & stationary, lounge areas and color palettes. We will create and manage the install of aesthetically pleasing spaces, matching the vibes and atmosphere you wish to create on your wedding day. We will use your desired wedding theme, vision, personal style to create a unique but Instagrammable event. We work with a wide range of budgets, themes, styles, color palettes and venues throughout Vancouver and surrounding areas.
