We had been toying with the idea of a destination wedding for a while before we were referred to Fidan and Milena by a friend of ours. We had our initial consultation in person, where they presented us with the merits of an off-resort wedding vs. a traditional resort option. We were also able to see estimated cost breakdowns based on our expected party size depending on which option and which country we were considering. We were made to feel welcome, relaxed, and left feeling a lot more confident! Given that we live outside the GTA, they accommodated every subsequent meeting virtually, where we worked primarily with Milena.
Throughout the planning process, we really appreciated Milena’s ability to stay organized and maintain attention to detail. She scheduled regular meetings with the vendors according to our availability, asked them important questions to gauge what’s possible/realistic within our budget, spoke fluent Spanish with them as needed, and kept the vendors on track so that nothing fell through the cracks. It was especially helpful that her and Fidan have an established relationship with multiple vendors within each category, so we got to look through the portfolios and websites of a number of different photographers, DJs, florists, and venues whose quality Milena and Fidan could personally vouch for.
Whenever we expressed concern with cost or aesthetics, Milena was quick to offer alternatives or options to cut down expenses. We never felt pressured to accept something that didn’t feel right or didn’t bring us value, and looking back, this was so important to help us manage the stress of it all!
A couple of weeks before our ceremony in Mexico, Milena married us legally in Toronto, which was a nice touch. We didn’t have anyone else in mind for this service, so it felt a little more special having someone there who had gotten to know us a little more closely over the past year.
Once in Mexico, in the days leading up to the ceremony, and on the day itself, Milena’s cool headedness really came through. When stress levels are at their peak, she continued to be reassuring, methodical, and encouraging. There were so many elements to the day we were convinced would have some kind of hiccup, but everything flowed so much better than we imagined. We honestly would’ve abandoned the whole thing in the early stages if we didn’t have her holding things together. Thank you so much to both of you for making our dream a reality! -

I can't express enough how grateful we are to have had Fidan as our wedding planner. From start to finish, she transformed our wedding dreams into a fairy tale come true. The best wedding planner
If you are planning a destination wedding you have come to the right place/women. My husband and I got married in Punta Cana. We were looking for a wedding planner and when we came across Designed Dreams Events and had a video call with Fidan, we immediately clicked with her and knew we wanted to have her plan and be there for our wedding day. Fidan was incredible to work with. She is so patient, kind and ALWAYS there for you whenever you needed her. Fidan was always available to answer calls or messages when you messaged her. She is very organized and on top of everything. Every vendor she choose for us was amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a better team of talented people for our special day. She made our wedding vision come to life. Every single detail I dreamed of … she made possible ✨ Fidan exceeded our expectations of a wedding planner. She is not only an amazing wedding planner but an overall amazing person! We highly recommend Fidan for your dream destination wedding.

I first heard about Fidan and her team through a dear friend whose wedding they coordinated. When I reached out to Fidan, I was already deep into planning my wedding and sought help specifically for day-of coordination so I could relax and enjoy the moment. Fidan exceeded all my expectations. She truly is like a fairy godmother, intuitively understanding exactly what was needed to make our day magical. Her responsiveness and support were exceptional, and she even went above and beyond by connecting us with a live painter, adding a unique touch and a beautiful keepsake to our celebration.
Hiring Fidan and her team was money well spent and a part of my wedding planning that I would do all over again. Fidan, Milena, and Anna—thank you for your attention to every detail, big and small. If you are planning a destination wedding, Fidan is an absolute wealth of knowledge. We just had our wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican and we have only raving reviews from all who attended. From our first call with her right up to post wedding we were constantly kept up to date, checked in on, and over the moon about the support we received. Planning a wedding is stressful and having Fidan there as a calming soul kept us grounded through it all. Fidan helped us think outside the box of a 'cookie cutter' wedding, and helped create a colourful unique vision that was executed beyond what we imagined it would be. Words cannot describe how utterly grateful we were for her guidance, love and encouragement from start to finish to help create the most beautiful wedding we have ever seen. We never once felt overwhelmed or misunderstood. She was even able to accommodate all of our last minute requests with ease...we are so appreciative! Our wedding was more than we dreamed for and we truly have Fidan and all those she recommended to thank make our day and experience wonderful. It felt like a fairy tale. We were referred to Fidan and her team from a close friend who were really happy with their experience. We were planning a destination wedding in Mexico and Milena was our lead planner and we could not be happier with the whole experience. Fidan and Milena were so great to deal with during the planning stages and were constantly on top of everything with the vendors and helped to keep us on track.
For the actual wedding, Milena was there all week with us and provided amazing service. It actually rained during our ceremony and Milena was able to work with the venue to pivot and execute a back up plan and it ended up being perfect! We would highly recommend their services and could not be happier with the entire experience. -

Milena is the best!!
I've got to tell everyone about Milena, our wedding planner in Toronto, because she was absolutely fantastic. Organizing a wedding from California was a challenge, but Milena made it feel like a breeze. My husband is American-Jewish, I'm Persian, and we both wanted our cultures and traditions to shine through on our big day. Milena didn't just make it happen; she nailed it perfectly.
When we hit a scary moment three weeks before the wedding due to a health issue, thinking we might have to cancel, Milena was an absolute rock. Her empathy, understanding, and readiness to support us in any decision were phenomenal. It was a huge relief to know she had our backs, and luckily, we were able to go ahead as planned.
And can we talk about the day of the wedding? Classic move – we left our table numbers back in California. But Milena and her super sweet assistant, Kimia, didn't miss a beat. They found replacements on the fly, which was seriously impressive.
Milena's ability to keep things smooth, especially when there were last-minute hiccups, was just wow. Despite most of our guests flying in from America, she coordinated everything flawlessly. Her calm and collected approach was a constant reassurance.
Kimia deserves a special mention too for her patience and kindness throughout the day. She was always there, ready to help with a smile.
If you're planning a wedding Milena is your go-to planner. She's more than just a planner; she's a cultural connoisseur and a total lifesaver. A gigantic thank you to Milena for making our day not just perfect, but uniquely ours in every way! -
