Hire her! You will not be disappointed!
Pre-Dreamy, no one hated wedding planning more than me. Never mind one that was out of province. This added a whole new level of complexity. Like any bride, I was super excited off the hop but quickly realized how much minutia there is in planning a wedding. I knew what I wanted in terms of overall vibe, vision, etc. but had no clue where to start or how to put these things together.
Example: Flowers. Love them. Wanted whites, greens, ethereal, flowy vibe. Problem: don’t know flower names, don’t know how to make what I want budget friendly, research required into florists, how do I put this all together and coordinate on wedding day? The list goes on. Cue feeling extremely overwhelmed and just putting it on a shelf somewhere. AND THIS WAS ONLY ONE COMPONENT OF THE DAY.
I realized for my sanity we needed a planner. After much research we stumbled upon Dreamy and Madison. Madison was exceptionally knowledgeable, warm, open, creative, and organized. We could tell all that off the hop. When we asked her questions about weddings in general (traditions, flow, etc. ) she was very supportive of what we wanted it to be. She knew all the traditional answers but reinforced that regardless, the day should reflect the couple. If the traditions were us, she was all for it. But if the traditions weren’t, she was open to it. Truly believing the day should reflect the couple. We loved this. She even interviewed us a little which we appreciated because we too believed the vibe should click. She even asked us if there was any expected, ‘drama,’ at the wedding so she could potentially get ahead of it.
We hired her immediately.
She sent us a bride groom timeline right away. Which was so very helpful. Along with a very detailed questionnaire so she could start putting things together. When we received the mood board it was like she read my mind. It was everything we wanted. Following the approval of mood/design, Madison was amazing. Set all the balls in motion from rentals to florals, to dessert, to day timeline organization, the list goes on. She was extremely transparent with pricing, contracts. Answered all questions we had quickly. Made suggestions and was exceptionally patient when we couldn’t make up our minds. She was available for all our meetings with our vendors (venue, caterer, celebrant, etc.) She liaised with my MOH to make sure the surprise details of the day were included, communicated and coordinated with all our vendors, she even answered random texts of mine with last minute changes. On top of that, last minute changes that came up she helped us navigate (delivery pizza for our late-night snack, a gift collector, rehearsal dinner changes. Her connections run deep.) She was on top of EVERYTHING. Calming me down, getting cousin Cole away from the bar and to the family photos…I could literally go on and on.
Our appreciation for Madison runs so, so, deep. She took a simple questionnaire, our budget and turned it into the day of our dreams. We had not a single hiccup on our day.
We cannot recommend Dreamy Events (Madison) enough. She is a master of her craft, a beautiful human being, and an absolute creative genius when it comes to weddings.
