My name is Lisa, and I am a certified Event and Meeting Planner.

Throughout my work at the Hospital for Sick Children and my involvement with medical conferences and workshops, I developed a keen interest in Event Planning, leading me to complete the Event and Meeting Management program at George Brown College. However, after planning my own wedding in 2006, I recognized the amount of work that goes into the execution alone of an event and ultimately how much the guest of honour can be impacted on enjoying the event themselves.

I gradually started assisting in the final stages and details of weddings and events. Sometimes clients simply just want an extra pair of hands on the day of the event, others prefer that someone is there at the venue before guests and ensure everything is “good to go”.

Over time, I recognized the desire for clients to plan their wedding but to actually enjoy their event, that a Coordinator for the Day would involve everything from setting up the hall, including centerpieces, seating arrangements, decor, table set up to meeting vendors, and ensuring that the event followed their timeline smoothly and according to plan.

Ultimately my focus is to ensure that all those details are carried out exactly how envisioned with absolutely no impact on their guest of honour so they can enjoy every moment. The ability to give this opportunity to a Bride and Groom is very rewarding!
