You need MK Events to help you with your wedding
Booking Makayla from MK Events to help us coordinate our wedding was the best wedding decision we made and we aren't sure what we would have done without her support and guidance along the way (and I'm not exaggerating).
We booked the month of and day of coordination package (the Boutonniere). From the moment we booked Makayla we had access to her amazing planning software and we had regular touch points with her to check in, provide updates and ask questions we might have. This helped us stay on track with all our planning.
About 4 to 6 weeks before our wedding she took over all the coordination with our vendors, which alleviated a lot of extra stress from that time. On the day of our wedding she helped with all the set up and take down, coordination of vendors and any other details that came up. We actually got to enjoy our wedding day and felt like guests at our wedding.
Makayla is extremely organized, efficient and professional. This paired with her amazing calm, caring and bubbly demeanor is the perfect combination for a wedding coordinator. She was able to put us at ease when we were stressed and she could be direct and efficient when that was needed.
Our favourite part of our experience with Makayla was that we really felt like we got to know her, and she got to know us along the way. This made it easier to put our wedding into her hands and trust that she would be able to help us make decisions that would be true to us and our vision for our wedding. Great experience, highly recommend
Makayla was great to work with and super helpful throughout the planning process. She was especially great on our wedding day and I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of. My only wish is that we had talked more about things she could have taken on as we didn't end up using the full services for the package we picked (she did refund us the amount we did not use though). Makayla is great to work with and I highly recommend for any couples.Makayla was great to work with and super helpful throughout the planning process. She was especially great on our wedding day and I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of. Makayla came highly recommended by a close friend who got married before me, so I quickly reached out to her when I was planning my wedding. After meeting with her, we contracted Makayla's planning and day of coordination services for our wedding, and she was truly amazing. We were hesitant, at first, to get a wedding coordinator as we had budgetary constraints, but we quickly learned that a wedding planner and coordinator is one of the most important vendors you can work with for your wedding. It is money well spent, and Makayla can turn your dream into a reality; honestly, working with her was a dream! She ensured that the whole planning process was smooth, with as little stress as possible, and she took charge in her friendly, professional, kind, fun, and caring way to ensure all the details - big and small, were organized and taken care of. Wedding day lifesaver
When I tell you Makayla was the hero of our wedding day, I am not saying enough. We, like many couples had to cancel and reschedule our event due to covid. We unfortunately, had to make this decision less then 72 hours prior to the event. Mak took control of everything an eased my anxiety so much. She contacted vendors, and helped ensure we didn't lose insane amounts of money, she gave us specific to do lists so all we had to do was act and not think- which was such a gift. She even helped work with vendors to help us lose minimal money in deposits as a result of the reschedule. Not only that she then helped us re-plan our new wedding date after I was too burnt out to even think straight. The days leading up to the wedding she was a life saver in every sense of the word. I was sick from stress and she literally handled everything beautifully, even running out to get champagne during our reception when we ran out. I could spend hours talking about how wonderful Makayla is and how perfect she made our wedding day. 12000000% recommend, it will be the best money you spend for your big day.When I tell you Makayla was the hero of our wedding day, I am not saying enough. Our wedding was magical
Working with Makayla was an amazing experience and made the wedding planning process feel unbelievably stress free and seamless!! She helped us define our aesthetic, coordinated with all of the vendors, was on point the day of keeping everything on schedule, and most importantly made us feel confident and extremely cared for. She's always available to chat. Her little touches (personalized activity bags for the kids, designing the wedding invites and programs, and assembling decor) went above and beyond in making the wedding magical. Makayla is Amazing!
Hiring Makayla as our wedding coordinator was the best decision we made for our wedding! She has such a calm and welcoming presence that she is able to use so well to make her clients feel secure throughout the whole planning process as well as during the wedding day. She is equal parts funny, comforting, and sincere and truly made us feel that she cared about us and our wedding. She made sure to check in with both of us throughout the day to make sure everything was going well.
Makayla was very organized and kept me on track during the planning process and gave me next steps to do. She created a detailed timeline and helped to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks. I felt so much more relaxed on the wedding day knowing Makayla was there to keep everything going smoothly. She seems to have a magical ability to both take control of situations as needed, but also to fade into the background when appropriate (in a good way!).
Makayla was a great communicator with us, as well as all of our vendors, wedding party members, and MC. At the end of the day, our wedding photographer mentioned to me that they were very impressed and would like to work with Makayla again in the future. We were in full agreement!
It was wonderful to know Makayla was problem solving behind the scenes, doing set up, communicating with everyone, and helping with getting the venue back in order after the wedding. She really took a large weight off my shoulders as the bride. Thank you so much for everything Makayla!!

Makayla is the absolute best!
We booked our wedding venue in January 2020, 10 months in advance of our wedding date. Two months later COVID hit and we entered a would of uncertainty in planning the wedding. When we hired Makayla, we had interviewed several possible coordinators, but we had such a good feeling about her after we spoke over video chat that it felt like a no-brainer to move forward with her. She projected such positivity and we felt like we had a nice rapport. She also seemed to understand our perspective towards the wedding which was that we wanted something that felt like us and didn’t rely on traditions.
With this being our first wedding, we naturally didn’t have many experiences to draw from, but Makayla was always available to answer our questions and most importantly provide guidance throughout the whole process. She gave us so many helpful tips and ideas throughout; her advice was always source of comfort during the most stressful times of the process.
With the uncertainty of COVID, we had to make the difficult decision to not once but twice postpone our wedding from October 2020 to November 2021, and Makayla was with us every step of the way. She showed a versatility to not only roll with the punches of COVID but also with ever-changing situations of our lives, even agreeing to fly back to Texas for our wedding after she had moved to Canada. That is commitment!
For the actual day of the wedding, we could not have asked for a better Day of Coordinator than Makayla. She was simply on-top of everything from beginning to end, and it felt like she was everywhere at once. Once again, she proved excellent at rolling with the punches that the day provided, especially when it came to unexpected deviations in the day’s timeline. She also delivered little personal touches that made the day feel extra special. With so much time, energy, and money put into the whole wedding planning process, we were beyond happy that our day was worth it in the end. It was absolutely perfect, and we owe so much of that to Makayla. Calm and Kind - Makayla is there for you!
Makayla's Boutonnière package and services were one of the best purchases we made for our special day. From the minute we had our first phone call to see if we'd be a good fit, she was calm, kind and continually put us at ease.
Makayla provided the laundry list of to-dos that come along with planning a wedding but in a very user-friendly way using a platform called aisleplanner. She provides regular check-ins to chat through your dream day and how you'd like to see it unfold and what it takes to get there.
A week prior to the wedding, she takes over any questions from friends, family or vendors - letting the two getting married relax and soak all the happy moments up.
She also provides recommendations on vendors when needed and she's just fun to go for coffee with even if all your tasks are done! Overall I just felt like she was a close friend looking out for our best interests - how nice is that?
The day of the wedding she kept all our ducks in a row, handled setup, cleanup and the general timeline of the day and it moved as smooth as we'd hoped for (tthere's probably so much more she did that I'm probably forgetting because I didn't have to worry about a thing - and that's truly the best part).
