Where do I even begin ! Melinda was amazing to work with ! I am usually that person who helps people decorate their events and ensure they run smooth, when I quickly realized I couldn’t do that for my own event that’s where I found Melinda. Her communication was impeccable and attention to detail was unmatched. Melinda listened to my needs, followed my direction and even pointed out things that didn’t even cross my mind. Melinda exceeded my expectations. She was always checking in on my husband and I through the night. She Safely packed up my decor and even notified me of concerning behaviour from other vendors. I didn’t think it was possible to have someone care about your event more than you, but I found that in Melinda of MK Events ! When I tell you I was worried I would scare her away with my several page document of instructions and diagrams she welcomed it with open arms and helped me even add to it.
If you’re considering a day of coordinator here is your reminder it is a need, not a want. And if you’re unsure who to choose, MK events is the way to go. Melinda would not disappoint. The next day even my husband and guests was raving about her hard work.

My now husband and I employed Melinda to assist during day of for our wedding and can I just say how AMAZING she is to work with. She's personable, professional and so easy to get along with. Melinda had EVERYTHING taken care of for us in the background, foreground and any other ground you can think of lmao.

I felt no stress, absolutely none from our wedding thanks to literally Melinda. She helped us organize the ceremony, helped us slowly dismantle our decorations that we had to have out by 1 am for us during the evening where we only had to take a few things out at the very end.

I could not recommend working with Melinda enough, I will be telling everyone about her services and If I ever feel like hosting another huge event she'll be my first call!!

Melinda is such a delight to work with, and has gone above and beyond to make the day special for us. She was so easygoing with me throughout the entire process, regardless of how difficult I was to get a hold of, and made sure to stay in touch regularly when we were in the final stretch. She was thorough in her prep, and very responsive in the week leading up to the wedding.

On the day of the wedding, it felt like she and her assistant Montana genuinely cared about the day. Her lovely assistant actually sent us a great photo that is now our phone background from the event, and carried my dress everywhere outside so I would still have it crisp and white while on the dance floor! My (now husband!) was so touched at how supportive she was. He is a brick, so this is high praise!

Melinda coordinated with vendors effectively and sent photos to update me on the status of the set-up, something she knew I was anxious about the day of, to make sure I stayed calm and could enjoy the day. She also handled hiccups in the venue quickly, without me even knowing things had gone awry! I felt calm and collected knowing things were in good hands, and it made the day so much better not needing to worry about the event going sideways. She was kind, supportive and calm throughout--a true delight to have on the day.

I can't stress enough how strongly I recommend MK Events. From start to finish this has been an outstanding experience. By best wedding advice? DON'T GET MARRIED WITHOUT HER!

Melinda was so wonderful to work with. She was so supportive throughout the entire process, provided such helpful advice, and was our number one problem solver, organizer, and go-to for vendors on the day of the wedding. Even with how many special events we asked her to coordinate (two grand entrances, bouquet toss, Indian traditions, etc.), last minute changes, and an aisle runner crisis (lol!), the day flowed so well because of her, and we are forever grateful! Melinda bringing food up to the bridal suite as we enjoyed some quiet time, is one of the wedding party's favourite memories we laugh about!

Our wedding day went so smoothly and perfectly due to MK Events. Our coordinator Melinda and her assistant, were both professional, personable, and amazing to work with! Throughout the process, Melinda provided examples/templates we could refer to. She answered all of our many questions in a timely fashion. And on the day of the wedding, her attention to detail was spot on. We provided her some inspo pictures and she executed it better than I could have imagined. She was flexible and able to accommodate all of our requests.

We had Vanessa as our day of coordinator. She took direction well, followed through with any random requests we had and set our table beautifully! We had a complete DIY wedding so lots of vendors and random items to deal with and she kept it all organized. She fluffed my dress for me before walking down the aisle and tidied up what she could before leaving. I had let Vanessa know ahead of time that my sisters would be the go-to people for any questions as my partner and I wanted to be present for our wedding day. I didn't hear from her much throughout the day and I took that as a wonderful sign! It was a beautiful day and Vanessa did a great job!

I am so thankful to have hired Melinda for our wedding. She ensured that everything ran smoothly and she went above and beyond with everything. Our wedding would not have been nearly as good without her!

Melinda was the wedding coordinator for my best friends wedding in June 2022. The wedding venue required the bride to bring in all her own vendors, so there was a lot to coordinate and stay on top of the day of the wedding. Having Melinda there allowed the bridal party to relax and truly enjoy the day. Melinda helped with many hiccups the day of including contacting vendors who were running late, managing guests who arrived very early, and ensuring correct timing of all the little details planned for the day. Melinda is approachable and assertive, and I would highly recommend having her to support you through your wedding planning and day.
