The Pop-Up Chapel Co is a unique business that helps you easily plan the perfect wedding in Toronto, Ontario. This forward-thinking company is led by Owner and Creative Director Alicia Thurston, who aims to create a new kind of planning experience for the modern couple. With The Pop-Up Chapel Co, traditional wedding norms are out, and simple, spontaneous weddings are in!
Services Offered
Much like a pop-up shop, your wedding will be set up at a stunning fixed location, where you’ll have an intimate, private ceremony, photography session, and reception, all in one beautiful space. Weddings with The Pop-Up Chapel Co begin with a questionnaire to find your ideal Chapel, including your desired wedding date and package type. From there, the team will reach out with your date and time slot. You’ll invite up to 20 guests, and the team will handle the rest of the planning while you take care of the marriage license. All that’s left to do is source your wedding wear and show up at your beautifully decorated venue on the day to say “I do.” The team covers everything from event design to full planning and day-of coordination. Better yet, a portion of every wedding booked goes toward local charities, meaning your celebration has a positive impact on the community. The all-inclusive package includes a one-hour time slot for your ceremony and reception, the venue rental and decor, bouquets and/or boutonnieres, a legal officiant, live ceremony music, a toast and light bites, ceremony and reception photography, and a post-ceremony portrait session, with the option of tacking on a range of thoughtful add-ons.

I couldn't be happier with the way the day turned out! We were married in the blue sky themed chapel at the Evergreen Brickworks. It was fun, romantic and vibrant - an amazing alternative to city hall. All of our guests were enamoured with the design and the location.
Leading up to the day you can expect to get nervous. That's because when you sign up for the pop-up chapel, you're truly signing up for a surprise. We found out what our chapel theme was and there were a few sneak peeks of the cocktail and colour scheme via instagram only one or two days beforehand. Other than that you go in blind.
Talking about cost, part of the money goes toward charity and for the price we paid it truly felt like a steal. The quality of the event space, the decor, food, drinks, the professionalism of the chapel team and our photography more than justified the cost. In fact, with what we spent on the chapel, we were able to splurge on a fabulous gem of a restaurant in Toronto and continue the celebration with our 19 guests afterward.
I would recommend the pop-up chapel to future brides and grooms who don't mind a surprise, are budget conscious and want to experience an intimate wedding.

Stress Free Wedding
We are so glad we chose to get married using Pop-Up Chapel Co! They made the process seamless and stress-free and we had a small intimate ceremony with our families that was truly beautiful! Their selection of vendors was great - from the love guitarist, to our photographer, the lovely flowers and the amazing officiant

Great experience - do it!
Pop Up Chapel was a perfect fit for us. We were looking for something quick and easy, like Vegas, but in Toronto. We had also looked at photos of city hall, which is very blah. When I showed my (now-)husband the photos from other PUC, his eyes lit up like fireworks… I knew we were onto something. Our PUC was at Steamwhistle which was beautiful and charming. The Zoom call was well captured with many different angles, guests commented that they really felt like they were in the room with us. The photos so far are wonderful, the cake and snacks delicious, everybody loved the experience!
Our Photographer was Alicia Thurston and we are thrilled with what we’ve seen so far, we had a blast shooting with her and she did a great job getting us daylight and evening shots within our slotted chapel time.
Pop Up Chapel are slammed and overwhelmed right now. They seemed so busy that we had trouble putting down a deposit. Patience is a virtue here. Trust that they are working on everything and it will all run smoothly! The customization elements are handled via a Google form that captures everything.
Honestly, we enjoyed this so much that I would love to do it all over again for a vow renewal!

Awesome To Do Pandemic Wedding With These Guys
The last 18 months has been challenging for us, especially with the up and down changes to all rules and regulations regarding our wedding.
We were afraid that we would never get married, My wife and my in laws found these guys and they made having a wedding seamless.
You didn't have to break your bank account to have a wedding and the photographer they set up after was awesome.
Highly recommend using these guys, and they're organized and very professional.

My Dream Wedding
The Pop-up Chapel wedding was exactly for me. I'm so glad I found the Chapel. It was a stress-free, easy but amazingly beautiful wedding. The team was extremely professional and caring. I love that it didn't cost an arm and a leg to have a beautiful wedding. The concept of making beautiful weddings more affordable via co-sharing with other couples is brilliant. They had amazing vendor service - the musicians, the photographer, the live stream, etc- all fantastic and all taken-cared of for you. Apart from contributing to charity, I love that they reduce event environmental waste through upcycled decors and repurpose/ donate the florals after the event. On our tenth anniversary - I hope to do our wedding vow renewals via pop-up chapel again :)

Amazing Experience
Our wedding was originally supposed to be in May 2020 in Las Vegas. Of course that was cancelled many many times so we finally decided to look for something closer to home. When we came across the Pop-Up Chapel it seemed like it would be the perfect fit with a great venue (Steam Whistle!), great dates (Aug 2021) and no planning on my end required except for getting dressed and bringing the marriage license. The whole experience did not disappoint! From their super responsive staff to the beautiful venue set up and amazing photographer the day felt so special and still unique to us even though there were 7 other couples that same day. All our guests were saying to us after the wedding why didn't something like this exist when they were getting married. If you are thinking about doing a turnkey wedding don't hesitate because you won't regret getting married through the pop-up chapel!

Amazing experience!
We saved a TON of money and I loved the level of communication with the postponement due to the pandemic. The day itself went extremely smooth and the vendor even had non-alcoholic drinks for my husband and I. The photographer was extremely delightful and our teaser pictures look amazing thanks to how much he made us smile and laugh (and my husband never smiles).
I would definitely recommend this experience to any couples looking to save money and remove all the hassle of wedding planning.

Memorable wedding
We're so glad to have our ceremony via Love by Lynzie. We loved the atmosphere, the service and above everything, it was so lovely set up by the organizers. Our guests loved everything about our ceremony. Thank you Love by Lynzie!

Exceeded expectations (Parents of the Bride)
Because our daughter and husband took care of all the arrangements, we really didn't know what to expect -- especially during Covid! But the entire event was intimate, elegant but simple, sweet, heartfelt, and utterly charming, all while being inexpensive and green, and contributing to a worthy cause. Our own wedding 40 years ago, was simple and outdoors and it 'stuck'. We don't believe in fancy, over-priced weddings full of stress and debt. This was the exact opposite. The officiant was wonderful! The music was understated and perfect. The decor was gorgeous (and apparently, luck of the draw!). The photographer was unobtrusive and excellent: the photo memories are gorgeous. Only negative came from those who couldn't attend: the livestream didn't work. But that had no effect on the event itself, which will always be remembered as an all-too-rare gathering during this time of no gatherings. Thank you Pop-Up for a perfect day we will never forget!
