Well Planned and Executed

My wife and I got the month of package and Randi really helped to make the last month way less stressful for us to plan. She kept track of all the vendors, was easy to communicate and plan with and made a thorough itinerary for the day of that was incredibly helpful for everyone involved with the wedding. It took a lot of stress of my shoulders and the day went perfectly and according to plan. She was very logical and kept really good track of everything we needed to get done. She was very friendly and personable and we will forever appreciate her contribution to making our wedding so special. I would definitely recommend Story Weddings & Events and specifically Randi to anyone interested in having a coordinator for their wedding.

More than my dream

We are a covid wedding couple. We had planned our wedding back in 2018 to be set in Dominican for July 22, 2020. Now, obviously that was a bust due to covid. Our plans changed several times and finally we came to the decision to do a small wedding here in Canada. We chose Elora Mill because:
1. It’s absolutely STUNNING! The venue alone is incredibly gorgeous, perfect for photos, so many places to take photos inside and outside. Their “basic decor package” is absolutely breath taking!
2. The price was right! They offered a perfect elopement package that fit our budget. We were able to have a ceremony, reception dinner, couple dance, father daughter dance, mother son...

We are a covid wedding couple. We had planned our wedding back in 2018 to be set in Dominican for July 22, 2020. Now, obviously that was a bust due to covid. Our plans changed several times and finally we came to the decision to do a small wedding here in Canada. We chose Elora Mill because:
1. It’s absolutely STUNNING! The venue alone is incredibly gorgeous, perfect for photos, so many places to take photos inside and outside. Their “basic decor package” is absolutely breath taking!
2. The price was right! They offered a perfect elopement package that fit our budget. We were able to have a ceremony, reception dinner, couple dance, father daughter dance, mother son dance, and free dinner for the couple along with our cake, a bouquet for the bride, boutonnière for the groom, and a live stream for those that would not be able to make it due to numbers being low. This package allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams, while still having our guests attend- and also following the covid guidelines.
3. Everything was made so clear. From day one of planning, we worked with Raylene. She sat down with us and had a perfect questionnaire that covered the entire wedding. She went through everything with us and made sure we understood what would take place. On the day of, we had the events manager, Tyson. I cannot bring to words how amazing this man is! He was everywhere at once while keeping himself calm and professional. I had no idea he even left my side because he was always there to help when I needed it and to tell me what was happening next. He treated us like a queen and king and brought so much security to our special day.

We had no idea how amazing it would be until the day of. Throughout the process of planning the wedding, we had come across many challenges as covid restrictions were becoming more and more tight. Raylene and her team kept in contact with us to keep us up to date and made arrangements to make sure that our day could continue as how we originally had planned it.
The team went out of their way to make sure our day didn’t get ruined by covid. Unfortunately, in the end, we were not able to do our reception dinner but the team allowed us to do everything else in our ceremony area that it didn’t feel like we missed a thing! Tyson made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of and I couldn’t have asked for a better event manager to be on our team the day of! He made sure I got to our “first look” on time. He made sure my memorial pendant got put on my flowers before giving them to me, he made sure my fiancé was there on time, he made sure of EVERY LITTLE DETAIL! He did more than even know because he just took all the stress off of me for the day and he did EVERYTHING! And no I did not pay extra for him. His service was incredibly appreciated and needed the day of! Things would not have run so smoothly had he not been there.
At the end of the night, because we didn’t have our dinner reception, Tyson showed us to our room (which was IMMACULATE) and brought us our meals for the night, starting with salad. He even set ambient music for us to enjoy while we had dinner. Always checking to make sure we were happy and had what we needed.

All in all, I would do it again and again if I could. We will be going back just to visit from now on! It was an incredible experience. I would not have known covid ruined a lot of our plans as the day was made perfect by the Elora Mill Team!

Absolutely loved working with Hevin and her team!

We can't thank Hevin and her team enough for all their help on our big day. Our wedding was beyond perfect, and better than what either of us could ever imagine. Everything ran so smoothly, and honestly I can say I was completely stress free and had the happiest day of my life. Highly Recommend! You won't regret it!

Our wedding day on Jun 2018 was perfect due to the help of Hevin and her team! They were extremely professional and organized. My wedding day was stress-free because I knew we were in good hands.

Initially, I was worried because I felt there was an extra vendor I had to reply back to emails for. But they were always so prompt in replying to any questions I had and they always found a solution to any problems that arose. There were so many aspects of planning a wedding that we were unaware of and Story Weddings took care of it all.

Sam and I would highly recommend this team! You won't regret it!

Best Wedding Planner!

Trying to plan a wedding from afar is not an easy task; however, Hevin and her team at Story Weddings & Events made it a breeze! Hevin has been more than helpful throughout this stressful process. She provided great vendor referrals, very prompt replies to all my emails and made the whole planning process very enjoyable. It was like planning a wedding with a close friend. She provides objective opinions while respecting your decisions at the same time. When I was unsure, she provided advice. When a vendor is out of budget, she provided different vendor referrals. There were never any questions too big or too small for her, she always answers them patiently and kindly.

On the day of, Hevin and Samantha helped with setting up everything at the venue, met with all the vendors that were delivering, kept us on track with our timeline and made sure everything was perfect! Our wedding turned out better than perfect and was everything we ever asked for and more. We would not have been able to do it without Hevin and her team. We highly recommend

I knew from the moment I got engaged there was absolutely no way I could plan my wedding alone, with both my fiancé and I working fulltime. From the first time we met Hevin we knew she would be a perfect fit as our wedding planner... but we didn't expect how easy she made the whole process! Hevin was always so sweet and calm while she kept me on track and made everything so simple and easy to accomplish. She and her team of vendors set everything up the morning of our wedding and ... wow, what they created not only took my breath away but brought tears to my eyes. She has got an eye for executing a vision, and she totally did that for us.

Her vendor recommendations (all of them we took!) turned out to be amazing too, so it's proof she knows who is who in the wedding industry and cares about providing the best for her clients. It lead to a perfect wedding day that we would relive in a heartbeat if given the chance. :)

A huge thank you to Hevin and her team. We will never have an issue recommending Story Weddings & Events to anyone planning to get married!! We are so glad we had the chance to work with such awesome professionals!

Planning is so overwhelming and there's so much minutia that keeping track of it all would have literally drove me crazy on the day of. Thankfully Hevin and her team took care of all of it. From suggesting vendors, to communicating the plan for vendors on the day of, to setting up and the room flip and then the breakdown. It was all so perfect and seamless and wonderful.
