Jodie is a Wedding Planner Fairy Godmother !
Jodie was able to keep us on track with our plans, budget, vendors and was a core part of our wedding day bliss! Two team members, Destinye and Krystal, were also on site and phenomenal with set-up with our decor; they were genuine, kind and were so caring with our guests. The whole team worked effortlessly in the background, and treated us like royalty.
Jodie was a blast to work with, and we are so thankful we were able to have her (plus, the Thistle and Thorne team) on our big day! We recommend Jodie with Thistle and Thorne for your big day.

Our wedding day was one of the best days either of us have ever experienced and that is due in large part to Jodie and her amazing team! Throughout the two years we took to plan our wedding (thanks COVID!), Jodie was always professional, responsive, organized and, overall, was such a delight to work with. She made every interaction feel like we were the only wedding she was planning and helped us every step of the way.
As an expert in the industry, she was able to help us identify vendors that best suited our vision, while also keeping us within our budget. She always answered our endless questions and allowed us to have a fairly stress-free wedding planning experience.
The end result was spectacular and we will be reliving our special day for years and years to come! With Jodie’s direction, our vision and vibe came together perfectly and it was so beautiful.

If you need a wedding coordinator - this is the one
- She has an extensive wealth of knowledge all things wedding related that made our planning process so much smoother. Whether it was COVID regulations, vendor suggestions, decoration trends, flow of planning a day, we had the utmost trust in her and her guidance every step of the way and our success of the day really shows how important he input was with our planning.
- She is probably the hardest working woman you will ever meet - many of our guests were amazed at her organization, diligence, leadership, and grace that she carried throughout the day. As a bride, she allowed me to feel fully present on the day because I knew that everything was being taken care of with precision and care.
- She is so stinking thoughtful and kind - by the time the wedding came around, it didn't feel like we were in a transactional business & client relationship, but as friends. Her emails are always warm and empathetic, our planning meetings we're filled with laughter, and on the day of, even with how busy she was, she would give us thoughtful touches like surprising us with glasses of champagne to celebrate right after the ceremony, or taking sweet videos that we'll keep forever as memories!

Very professional and helpful
Jodie made sure our decorations looked great before we walked down the aisle (it was a windy day), she had great recommendations like renting blankets and heaters. She Helped coordinate the DJ and the wedding party so they all went down the aisle with the right music and spaced apart.
Jodie was part of a package with our venue but now that I’ve had her i feel it was something we needed for our wedding. She took stress off the day and made sure everything went smoothly.

The Real Stuff:
As an onsite wedding coordinator, the venue I called home for the last two years was the beautiful Fraser River Lodge.
First of all... it is my purpose in life (I think) to love, protect and lift up humans. I think everyone is unique & creative in their own weird & wonderful ways and getting to know people is one of my favorite parts of my job.
Maybe I wont "get" what you love but if you LOVE something and it's your WORLD I am so excited to learn about it and share your energy for it. #unabashedlyyou

I believe weddings are about people. Period. Everything else is a bonus.
I am a huge plant nerd and have a minimum of 100 plants pretty much year round. I grow a lot of my own veggies/herbs and will probably give you some (whether you want them or not).
I was raised by a self-employed Veterinarian boss lady and an ex-hippy Handy Man so I'm part animal lover, go-getter, & entrepreneur.. part jack of all trades, free spirit with an affinity for hoppy beer, tannic red wines, gin cocktails and tequila. Yes, the conflict is real.
I attended a physical church for most of my life but I believe a church is anywhere you want/need it to be. I love learning about people's spirituality, culture, and traditions (or lack thereof).
I love to cook but not as much as I love to eat. My food ALWAYS has butter and garlic in it.
I'm a realist AND a romantic. I cry during movies, sappy commercials, 30 sec youtube clips of animals.. and on wedding days.
I drink too much coffee. I camp. I ride snow on skis and my snowboard (neither well but neither horribly). I like to go dancing but never in heels.
I get hangry and I generally dont fall asleep before midnight.
My partner is my world. My best friend is my rock. My pets are my babies.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management degree in 2014 and have been in the event planning industry ever since.
Saying that I am passionate about weddings and event planning would be an understatement. It consumes me and is a big part of my every day. The best part about it…seeing the faces of couples and clients light up when they are happy with the outcome (I am also secretly gushing in the background as the event starts to unfold). It’s such a treat to work with so many amazingly talented individuals in the industry and of course, the rock star of Thistle & Thorne Weddings, Jodie Fulcher.

Destinye comes to us with almost 20 years of experience in the hospitality sector—from wineries to mobile bartending to barista work, Destinye is a total people person. She loves meeting new people and connecting with their personalities to create something that is so “them”. Her calming energy is contagious, and her strengths in problem solving help her to make her client’s wedding days the best day ever.
