Amazing experience!
We had Laura do our wedding at the end of August and she was absolutely amazing. She made us feel so at ease with the entire process. The day of was a breeze and she made sure all the days leading up to the wedding we had nothing to worry about. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Laura to anyone who is looking to have a stress free and enjoyable day:) Thank you so much Laura! Above and Beyond amazing service and perfect execution!
Laura Scott is an amazing inspiring wedding planner! Tula Events went above and beyond from the beginning we met to the actual day itself and included our vision in the entire planning. Tula Events helped bring my vision to life
I’ve dreamed of my wedding ever since I was a little girl and without Laura I would have never been able to have bring my vision to life. Laura made wedding planning while pregnant the easiest experience and brought the most amazing vendors to make my day perfect. Laura was professional and amazing on the day of, she made sure the day was a well oiled machine. Tula Events is a 10/10 on all fronts! Incredible Wedding Planner!
Hiring Laura as our wedding planner was the best wedding decision we made! My husband and I were married on a family horse farm which was so special, but also a ton of work. I can safely say that there is no way our wedding could have happened if it wasn’t for Laura.
From the minute we sat down with Laura at our initial meeting, I knew she was the perfect planner to execute our dream wedding. She was waiting for us when we arrived with a folder which included an outline of her services, examples of her monthly check lists and the documents that she provides throughout the planning process, a contract and even a pre-stamped envelope to return the signed contract in the event that you wanted to move forward with her. She even had coffees waiting for us when we arrived. Needless to say Laura is an extremely prepared and detailed person – qualities that you should definitely be looking for in a wedding planner.
We hired Laura for full planning which I would highly recommend. I am the type of bride who hadn’t thought at all about my wedding vision until after I got engaged. Laura was the perfect person to help me figure out what we liked, and what we wanted. She began the process with a questionnaire which included questions about our expected number of guests, our general likes and dislikes and what was most important to us at our wedding.
After the initial questionnaire, Laura and I worked through some of my décor likes and dislikes and she had me compile Pinterest boards of things that jumped out at me – colours, flowers, cakes, etc. She took those photos and created various “inspiration boards”. Each inspiration board was different but pulled everything together. I selected the things I liked from each board and when we put together the final vision, it was as if Laura was in my head and knew what I wanted before I did. I was quite stressed at the beginning of the “vision boarding” process, seeing as I didn’t really have a clue of what I wanted, but Laura made the process so easy and painless, it was amazing.
The process continued with Laura providing vendor recommendations, making the initial contact with vendors and setting up meetings. This was a huge help for us as we of course had no idea where to search for many of these services. Laura arranged a photographer, tent, catering, florist, hair/makeup, officiant, music (DJ and string) and coach bus services, among other things. She had worked with many of the vendors before and had great relationships and contacts that we benefitted from. Be sure that she does not receive any “kickbacks” for her recommendations and is purely motivated by providing her clients with the best vendors and the best experience possible. She attended most of the vendor meetings with us which was a huge help as we would not have known which questions to ask or what to look for without her there. She also provided “week of” and “day of” instructions to all of our vendors and to our wedding party, including emcee notes and a detailed itinerary.
Laura was incredibly responsive to our emails and calls throughout the process. We also had monthly meetings with her where we would check in on our progress and talk about next steps. She provided meeting agendas ahead of every meeting as well as a monthly checklist and budget outline. She also provided detailed meeting notes following every meeting. Her guest list spreadsheet and seating charts were also extremely helpful, especially in the last few weeks leading up to the wedding.
Laura is also an incredibly caring person. When I suffered a personal loss leading up to the wedding and needed to take a step back from the process, Laura was very patient, respectful and kind.
Laura truly went above and beyond in planning our wedding. Whether it was scouring Etsy to find an invitation suite with flowers that looked identical to ours, or taking photos of items while she was out at Ikea, she was extremely dedicated and always had our best interests at heart. She paid us so much attention that it felt like we were her only clients. I cannot recommend Laura enough. Month of Wedding Coordination
From the first initial meeting that we met with Laura, she was very professional and truly cared to ensure that our vision came to life for our wedding. Her attention to detail and organizational skills ensured that we knew whatever we asked or sent her a million e-mails on would be taken care of. She eliminated the stress from our wedding and ensured everyone and the vendors stayed on track for the day. She was a big help for our rehearsal as she stepped in for our pastor as well. Hiring Laura was one of the best decision I could have made for my wedding. There was only one small hiccup that we actually didn't realize until our wedding was over because we we're having so much fun which was that our rental goblet glass was used for wine instead of water and we requested wine at the table and the venue had passed wine instead. Our bar bill ended up being higher than anticipated. I would just ensure that whatever you advise Laura or any other wedding planner on that you also copy the venue event manager to ensure everyone is on the same page. Incredible Day-of-Coordinator
We were very picky about day-of-coordinators, and interviewed four or five before we found Laura. My standard was that I had to be convinced that the person was more organized than I was, so that I would actually feel free to be relaxed. Laura was the first person who convinced me from the first moment we met - I don't think I've ever met a person more on top of things. I felt more relaxed about the wedding from the moment we booked her because I knew she would remember every detail. And she did!! We had several people from the wedding industry at our wedding, and they kept on pulling us aside during the wedding to whisper "your planner is amazing!" From managing all our vendors to managing our family to managing us on the day-of, she was incredible. Cannot believe how much work she did (over two months!) for our "day-of" booking. Best wedding decision you will make!
My husband and I started the wedding planning process knowing the general theme and budget we wanted, but also realizing that we wanted to enjoy versus be stressed out by it all. Enter in Laura Scott / Tula Events and her decor, budget and day-of coordination support!
Laura did the things we needed, but were too busy or overwhelmed to actually do ourselves. This included, but was certainly not limited to: creating inspiration boards to help us narrow down our decor theme, developing an itemized budget, researching and arranging meetings with various vendors, establishing timelines for important planning milestones and closer to the day, following up with each vendor to communicate timelines and confirm requirements.
