We booked with Ashley at Velvet Bordeaux Events a year ago with the Full Planning Package for our Montreal wedding because between work schedules and living in L.A., we didn’t have the time or tools to plan our dream wedding.

Ashley was extremely knowledgeable and supportive throughout the entire planning process! Planning a wedding abroad is not the easiest task not to mention factoring in time differences and then having the actual wedding in a totally separate province from where our planner was located but she surpassed any and all visions we had!

We can honestly say now, we don’t get why couples say planning a wedding is so stressful. Ashley made this experience the most seamless, enjoyable and stress free experience we have ever had! She dealt with every single one of our vendors and ensured only the best were part of our day. She took care of all schedules, floor plans and event designs and that’s just skimming the surface of what she did.

Ashley went beyond all means to research all the perfect elements for our day, she even picked up and mailed out all of our Save The Dates and Invitations which was a lifesaver for us! She was on top of every single detail, reminded us of upcoming payments and was always incredibly cheerful to deal with even when we forgot to update her with details! Anything and everything thrown her way was handled with professionalism and a smile.

My wife and I are not great communicators but it was like it didn’t even matter because Ashley was always in our heads. She knew exactly what we wanted, understood our vision and knew what we needed before we even knew we needed it.

People say you can't plan for perfection, but Ashley proved that wrong! Working with Ashley was the best decision we made. She exceeded every expectation by far, and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. I had tonnes of questions throughout the process and she responded to every single email/text right away. She flawlessly coordinated all of the behind the scenes planning, from vendor communication to day-of logistics and more. Knowing that all of these details were covered allowed me and my husband to fully enjoy the day. On our wedding day, her calming energy put any anxious feelings I had at ease. Ashley also set up all of our personal decor items and worked with our florist to create the most beautiful reception space. We're beyond grateful for everything, and I can't recommend Ashley enough! Her passion and love for what she does was evident right from the start. I will miss her infectious energy and kindness!

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding than Eaton Hall! From the moment we arrived for our first tour, we knew it was the perfect setting for our special day. The venue is absolutely stunning, with beautiful tent, views, interior decor, and exterior character! It provided the ideal backdrop for our photos, and our guests were blown away by the atmosphere - everyone said it felt like we were in Italy!

The day of team at Eaton Hall (Abi and Sveta!) went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. They listened to our first date story of taking shots and then delivered shots to our head table and said "this is your full circle moment" which I will remember forever. On the day of, everything ran seamlessly, and we were able to relax and enjoy each moment knowing that the staff had everything under control.

Not only was the setting gorgeous, but the service and hospitality were also incredible. From the delicious food to the beautifully arranged spaces, every detail was handled with care and professionalism. Our guests are still raving about the experience, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! The food was hot and delicious for every guest and the bartenders were so fun and quick - there was never a line!!!!

Where do we even begin with Ashley ? From the very start, she were an absolute lifesaver and truly the reason our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. Planning a wedding can be so overwhelming, but Ashley made it an enjoyable, stress-free, and honestly fun! She took the time to understand our (let's be honest MY lol) vision, guiding through each decision with such thoughtfulness and expertise. She helped me laugh at the not so fun moments and even dealt with 1-3 bridezilla freakout moments along the way!

As a Director of Operations I was hesitant to the idea of a planner because I am so used to planning every detail to a T. That being said, I couldn't be happier that we booked Ashley and truly she is a life saver in the wedding planning process. I don't know if I could do another event without her, honestly!

Every single detail was perfectly managed, from the timeline to the rehearsal and she handled everything with such grace and confidence. Ashley has incredible experience and made sure every aspect of the day felt cohesive and personal. She coordinated with all our vendors seamlessly (even the difficult ones!) and managed the entire event with such professionalism that we didn’t have to worry about a single thing. All we had to do was focus on each other and our guests – something we’ll forever be grateful for.

On top of her outstanding organizational skills, Ashley brought so much warmth and positivity to the planning process. She made us feel supported every step of the way, always checking in and being incredibly responsive to every question and concern. Our friends and family keep telling us how magical the day was and how smooth everything felt, and we know that’s all thanks to Ashley. She even got my dad's nod of approval which isn't easy and dealt with some interesting characters in the family with such humour!

Ashley's Assistant was so wonderful as well! And although both were on top of every single detail I never felt they were in the way or intruding on anything. We even had a hornet infestation in the bridal suite and Ashley handled that in under 15 minutes without any panic!

She dealt with live music artists, challenging communication with a vendor, a groom and family who HATES photos, a unconventional wedding entrance, many deliveries, florals that fell apart with the wind (my fault!) and many more moving parts I don't even know about!

And finally, the big hurrah: THE ENTIRE DAY WAS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE! How is that even possible??? In my experience, that's unheard of on wedding days!

Wow! We should have contacted Ashley way sooner. As a project manager I thought I had this down but Ashley made our lives so easy and wonderful through what was one of the most beautiful days of our lives. Ashley is an absolute gem and I’m so glad I chose her as my wedding month-of coordinator!! i had the pleasure of working with Sam since Oct 2022. And my wedding was not till May 2024. Sam walked me through the process and helped me understand how the day to day planning should look like. Sam replied via text and was always available to answer my questions. Sam arrived on time the day of wedding and it was raining , i was worried. She went to the dollarstore and bought umbrellas. We also had 2 guest show up with no invite and Sam and Rachel gave up their meals to help solve the problem. Not only that, but i did all my own DIY and Sam and Rachel decorated my venue exactly how i wanted and my day so smooth and amazing!! I am very happy with the support and the services i received. If you’re trying to decide on hiring a wedding planner, DO IT and hire Ashley!!!! And this is coming from a girl who is very DIY and wanted to do everything herself. I got overwhelmed FAST. There are so many decisions and details to consider, but having someone like Ashley on your team is hugely helpful. We hired her on the partial planning package in late 2022 and worked with her until our April 6th 2024 wedding.

One of the most valuable things Ashley brings is experience; she has worked hundreds of weddings and knows how to handle every aspect, individually as well as making sure they all work together on the big day. I was so relaxed on my wedding day because I knew that if anything went wrong, she would handle it and I wouldn’t even find out until a week later. Her exceptional organizational skills means she can see the forest and the trees and that no detail is forgotten.

I also found Ashley to be an excellent sounding board. She answered so many of my sometimes-dumb questions over the many phone calls we had, and always offered solid advice. This was especially helpful, as many brides are like me & are getting married without having planned a wedding before. Ashley helped us set our budget and prepped us for what would and wouldn’t be possible within it. I always felt like she took my vision into consideration and always provided excellent suggestions for every aspect of the day.

Another huge benefit of hiring Ashley was how well-connected she is. For example, there are thousands of photographers in Ontario and combing through every website or instagram profile would take an eternity. As an established, certified planner, she has worked with many photographers and was able to recommend someone who was a perfect fit which saved us so much time and effort. She was even able to find great vendors for our “nice to haves” (like a photo booth) that stayed within our budget and delivered great services. I genuinely don’t think our wedding would have been anywhere as nice as it was without her insights, connections, and recommendations.

Like I said, many brides have been in weddings and attended them before but have never planned one start to finish. You wouldn’t try to re-wire a house without at least consulting an electrician, so why do that for the happiest day of your life? Ashley is a professional in every sense of the word, a very talented planner, and an all around wonderful person 🩷🌸
