Wedding Whisperer is a boutique wedding planning company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia dedicated to bringing the fun back into wedding planning. It’s all based on the genuine belief of wedding planner Jess Murray that couples can, and should, enjoy this incredible time in life. And that with a little bit of love, laughter, and levity, together we can celebrate your marriage in the way it’s truly meant to be.

Wedding Whispering Phases

The Big Picture

We start off by becoming the best of friends! During this time, we discover what you truly want for your wedding. Not what you think you should want, or what others want, but what matters most to you as a couple. This lays a strong foundation for a smooth ride, filled with confidence in your planning decisions and trust that I get you—and I've got you.

The Dream Team

Having an incredible wedding experience takes not just a village, but the right village. During this phase, we review all of your venues and vendors, and pick the right people for you based on the picture of your perfect day, your priorities, your personality, and your price point. I want you to be Whitney-Houston-high-note excited about your wedding partners, so you get a chance to connect through vendor visits, menu and cake tastings, and stopping to smell the flowers (literally).

Design & Décor

Oooh, this is a super fun phase! Together we pour ourselves a cup of coffee or a glass of wine (pick your poison) and pull all of your inspiration into Pinterest perfection. Then, with a crystal-clear, cohesive design that has you full-on happy dancing, we dig into turning your digital dreams into reality. Think stationery selection, sample table settings, shopping trips for special pieces, and more.

The Experience

This is one of the most important pieces of the entire puzzle. This phase is all about ensuring delight at every moment of your day—for you and your guests. Whether it's a warm welcome for travellers, the perfect playlist for every point of the day, or must-have memory-making moments, together we will map out maximum fun.

Logistics

I freakin’ love logistics (nerdy, but true). They are what turn a good wedding into a seamless celebration where all you have to do is whoop it up. During this phase, we iron out the details that you’ve been thinking of, those that would eventually come to mind, and those that you would have never even thought about. This phase is all about breathing a sigh of relief knowing that you have every i dotted and every t crossed.

The Wedding Weekend

I’ll make sure that every detail is attended to including timing, logistics, vendor relations, and more. I'll be your point person for anything that comes your way. Your go-to gal for the unplanned, unexpected, or unwelcome. Your problem solver to handle any and all issues that arise. And most importantly, I'll be your protector of fun. At the end of this phase, you'll be married—and have enjoyed every second of it!
