Shawna is THE ONE you need!
I have to start off by saying, if you are debating whether or not to hire a wedding coordinator - DO IT. I met Shawna a little later in our planning process - we had booked all of our vendors already and I was looking for some assistance with some unexpected things that were coming up and day-of coordination. She really took a massive stress off my plate, was able to source and negotiate better rates for services in several instances, and she made sure that our big day went perfectly. She is extremely prompt and responsive, very organized and made me feel like I was her only client (even though I know she's constantly juggling a million things). My husband and I were so grateful to have her running the show so that all we had to worry about was getting married and enjoying ourselves! I am a little sad that I won't be able to work with her again, but I can't recommend her enough for anyone who is getting married. Thank you Shawna for making our dream wedding come true :) -

Future Bride & Grooms, if you want someone to keep you organized, walk through the process of wedding planning, keep you on track for timelines, payments etc. and most importantly give you the most magical day ever, call wedding extraordinaire Shawna Gray. We had the absolute pleasure of planning our wedding with Shawna. Shawna is kind, honest, funny, upfront and truly an expert in this field. She will offer you advice when you ask and give her honest opinions based on her vast experience. She will also support you in every vision you have and make sure you are happy with the end result. Shawna was there for us when we had to make the very difficult decision to postpone our wedding due to Covid restrictions. Shawna was also right beside us supporting Stephen and I when we finally got to celebrate our wedding day last week. Shawna is way more than a wedding planner. She is a voice of reason, she is a liaison between you and all of the vendors, she is a phone call away to calm your nerves and she is a constant voice of support and reason. Shawna is someone we now call our friend and I can't wait to get together with her when we visit the Okanagan again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day so magical ♥️ We couldn't have done this without you. -

I hired Shawna to provide Day of Wedding Coordination services for my wedding in Penticton this past September. I live overseas and wanted to ensure the person I worked with would make me feel comfortable on my big day. When Shawna and I first connected on the phone, I knew I had made the right choice.
A few weeks out from our wedding day, as she had promised over the phone, she was in touch to discuss the day of itinerary. I have an extremely Type A personality and thought I had covered all of my bases. Shawna talked through everything with me and by the time we were done I had a page of 'to-do's' that were very important pieces of the day that I would have completely missed if it wasn't for her.
I met Shawna two days before our wedding for our rehearsal, and again, she was so helpful during that process! I don't think I could have gotten through the actual day if it wasn't for her and her team ensuring everything ran smoothly. She helped with the set-up, coordinated with the vendor and the MC, ensured all valuables were given to a designated guest at the end of the night, plus much more! I had multiple friends and family comment throughout the night about how great she is - and I completely agree with them!
Thank you Shawna for always being responsive (even with a massive time difference) and making my big day absolutely perfect! I will recommend your services to anyone I speak to. -

Shawna was amazing!!! She went above + beyond and did far for more for us that what we expected! Our day went so smoothly, thanks to her! We honestly don't know what we would have done without her! Thank you for helping us with the rehearsal, making sure all our little details were in place and covering for us when we dropped the ball on our seating chart! :) -

Meagen A. Sent on 06/10/2017I had a great connection with Shawna from day one. Even though she has had a lot of clients, and I'm sure will have many more, I never felt like just another client on her roster; Shawna always treated me as though I was a friend, and made me feel like a priority.
Shawna really did a great job of learning who I was and was quick to sync with my vision which made it easy for her to make suggestions she knew I would love. Her knowledge of the industry and her ability to read people is really outstanding.
You think you know a lot about weddings, and you may be naïve enough to believe it'll be easy to do it all on your own (if you are a low maintenance bride with a *really incredible* team of bridesmaids, maybe it works out for you - congrats)... I promise this is not usually the case. Shawna was on top of reminding me to do things that she couldn't do for me, brought to light many things that I was unaware of, did a lot of my contacting and correspondence with my vendors, and even gave me peace of mind by verifying or explaining information in my vendor contracts. The little things/details that would have stressed me out, were just taken care of. Shawna really allowed me to just enjoy the planning process. Were there still things I had to deal with? Yes, but any of the stress that I felt through the process was people related - and I'm sure if Shawna could mitigate that, she would! A good example of something that might have been stressful was having our florist decide last minute - not dangerously so, but still out of the blue - that she didn't want to do weddings any more this year... Before Shawna even gave me the news she had already contacted another florist and had a quote and some images of our new potential's work to present me with. I had a pretty good attitude about the news, but I imagine I might have felt differently if I had been the one to get the news and made to work it out myself.
You can also be assured that your day of timeline will be followed to a T. Are you usually a tardy person?... Not today! Shawna will make sure that everyone is on time and on point that day.
If you've got a husband teetering on the edge of hiring a planner, or one that doesn't see the value I would suggest he talk to my husband so that he might be able to bring to light all the reasons that Shawna and the service she provides really are invaluable. When I look back on my wedding day, I am incredibly grateful for Shawna and her team and I feel blessed to have made a new friend in the process :) -

Alexandria H. Sent on 13/10/2016Shawna and the whole team at White Orchid did such an incredible job planning and executing our wedding, we honestly couldn't have done it without her. Having her and her team take care of the setup and organizing everything with our multiple vendors allowed my husband and I to just enjoy our big day and not have to worry about anything.
Shawna did a great job of seeing to every last detail, from making sure all the signs for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were exactly where we wanted them to be, to making sure the extra flowers we ordered the day of not only arrived, but looked perfect.
As a couple from Calgary, my husband and I knew we were going to be pretty dependant on our wedding planner to take the reigns on a lot of different items. Shawna was always only a quick phone call away to help us feel comfortable and ready to say "I Do".
Thanks to Shawna, I was able to have the perfect wedding I'd always dreamt of since I was a little girl!
