Aperture Lane and company, are just that good at what they do. With Ryan at the helm, he made us feel very comfortable from the beginning. At no point when talking about price or our vision did he make us feel like we weren't valued, or not heard. From start to finish, everything was transparent and we had a blast working together the entire time. Would recommend to anyone again.

My wife and I were researching in Fall 2021 for a wedding photographer/videographer and a friend of mine who is a fellow videographer recommended Ryan from Aperture Lane. We knew that this recommendation came from a place of respect for another person's talent. After watching several of Ryan's videos on YouTube, we were amazed by how flawlessly he captured the emotions from the wedding and converted it into a short story. We instantly reached out to Ryan and he scheduled a greeting session over video call. Ryan was charming, knowledgeable, and professional. He worked with us to share our vision and worked backwards to figure out logistics for a wedding that happened in two countries and 7 events.

Ryan and his team provided us with an engagement shoot where our vision was for it to be captured during a snowfall. He was flexible and extremely understanding that the weather was not cooperating. On the day of the engagement shoot, he bared the cold and took magazine-worthy shots that could impress anyone. He put together social media footage that we were able to share as well.

After 2 events in Toronto, Ryan and Tristan flew out to the Dominican Republic with 95 of our family and friends and were ready to photograph and take videos of 5 more events. He worked with us every day he was there. In between events, we found Ryan and Tristan hanging out with our family and friends and playing games like old pals. It warmed our hearts knowing that they were so comfortable with our family.

Our final video and photographs were available after the wedding through a special portal online that Ryan provided. This was an amazing way to share our footage with our loved ones.

Our final thought. We can't imagine ourselves working with any other person. Ryan created an environment that allowed us to be ourselves while having fun planning a wedding. Not once did we feel stressed as he helped keep us organized and thought out every detail. Ryan captured all the excitement of the wedding perfectly. Every time we watch the video/photos we feel the joy all over again, it's like reliving the wedding through his lens.

Working with Ryan and his team at Aperture Lane was one of the best decisions my wife and I made for our wedding! They are so warm, welcoming, friendly, inviting, and really just the best! My wife and I are a pretty awkward couple (we are not photogenic) so Ryan and his team would often give us tips to help and make us comfortable throughout the whole process. Also, we had a COVID wedding, and through all the last minute changes and inconveniences they stayed with us and made it work. They were very accommodating. Ryan and his crew were with us throughout our process of planning and having a wedding during Covid. They made the day memorable with their vision for how to capture the intimate moments to be remembered for years to come. They made it so you couldn’t tell it was a 3 person wedding- the mood, vibe, and personalities of my husband and I shine me through.

If you don’t think you need a videographer for your wedding, you should reconsider. This is exactly the situation we found ourselves in when planning our own wedding. In the end, we decided that we wanted to have a keepsake to remember our big day. The problem was, we decided very late. When we called Ryan and his team at Aperture Lane, we didn’t think we could get a videographer because it was so late. But Ryan stepped in, and not only did we get a videographer, we got the best videographer a couple could ask for.

On the day of, he came in and became such an important part of our day. He eased everyone’s nerves with his humour and charm. He and his team were so much fun that they felt like a part of our wedding party. The best part is, they’re also incredibly talented. They captured each and every key moment without us even knowing they were there. Until we saw Ryan bust a move.

But what about the video? The most important part. The day we received it, we couldn’t have been happier. We kept watching it over and over again. It filled us with so much happiness (and made us cry a lot of happy tears).

Having Ryan work on our wedding was truly a gift. His professionalism, high energy , and humour made the day, that much more fun and relaxing. What we appreciated most was his follow up prior to the wedding and the details. He got to know us as a couple and individuals, which translated to our photos effortlessly. He was able to capture special candid moments, upstaged and completely authentic. This meant everything to us. To have memories told in an organic story line. Whether, when the maid of honour whispering in my ear and making me laugh, or the groom breathing in deeply before my entrance. Ryan and his team have an intuition and experience that made our special day into memories that will last forever - especially with so many things happening all at once, I really needed this.
Aperture Lane did a phenomenal job with our large family they were organized, patient and truly captured the best of all of us. I look at our photos from our wedding and reflect on how hiring Ryan was absolutely one of the best decisions we made. I recommend him to all our family, friends and to anyone who wants to have not only a day but a love story to share.
