For any who are interested in hiring Meagan and John as videographers, know that you are not only getting two fantastic artists at the height of their profession, but also two people with plenty of experience in weddings and events who will be happy to offer advice when you need it.
Neither of us had done any video shoots before our wedding, and these two made it feel comfortable and natural while still capturing (and creating) absolutely stunning moments on our wedding day and before.
Neither of us had any real experience with weddings, attending or participating, and both our videographers were happy to offer advice or suggestions that smoothed out some of the details we couldn’t have planned for. I remember that in the morning the brides dress had accidentally gotten locked in the change room and Meagan was not only graceful in bringing it to the bridal parties attention, but also suggested how to resolve the situation.
TLDR; Their professionalism and personable attitudes made us wish that we had more occasions to hire and work with them. They are an easy 5-star and we highly recommend their services!

Getting married in the middle of the pandemic made it so we couldn't have most of our loved ones with us on our special day. We decided the best way to capture our day would be to invest in videographers. This was hands down the best decision we made! Meg & Jon are the best in the business with unending creativity and hearts of gold. They went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable enough to be ourselves and delivered the most spectacular video that we still watch often. Our video is by far our favourite keepsake from our wedding day. You won't regret hiring these two! -

Hands down best decision we’ve made!!!
After looking through all their videos and seeing our friends video, we knew we MUST have Bonsai. We expected great things, because clearly their work speaks for itself, but what we received was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!
The help and guidance throughout the entire wedding planing process was second to none. They make you feel so comfortable and like you’re working with your best friends.
Our video, is beyond words. I’m so so so so so so happy we have this to relive and remember the many emotions we had on our wedding day. The video tells the perfect story and I go right back to that day when I’m watching.

Any 2020 couple will tell you that throwing a Covid wedding is far from easy. All sleep, dieting, budgets, basic hopes and dreams, are all out the window and you step into pure survival mode. For us anyways, that was our story. Until our meetings with Bonsai began. They felt like allies, cheering us on the achieve the impossible. Even as our wedding day descended into chaos, Jon jumped in to help set up, Meg rallied the wedding party to stay on schedule and single handedly brought my stress level from a 10 down to a 4.
They captured our love so beautifully. Watching our video feels like a contagious energy. With whispers of my family and closest friends woven throughout. Prior to seeing this film, I had been hard on myself because I couldn't remember the specifics of our day and I thought because of that that I wasn't present, that maybe I wasn't smiling, that I didn't appear approachable and was somehow viewed as a grumpy bride. You know how your mind can get the best of you. Their film allowed me to relive the same emotions I felt that day. In fact, I think I enjoyed watching it even more, maybe it's because I know that that day was the first day of my forever with my best friend. It was incredible. -

Best videographer out there!
There are so many things that run through my head when trying to describe Meg and Jon, not only as a company, but as people. We were referred by my brother and sister-in-law, as Bonsai had done their wedding film almost two years ago. If their amazing wedding films online hadn't already had us hooked, speaking with the two of them really sealed the deal. They are two of the most genuine people you could meet and instantly we fell in love with their style and business model. From the first meeting they wanted to get to know our relationship on a deeper level, and they did this by digging deeper into my now husband and I's story. The time invested into the details really made them stand out from any other videography vendor we had spoken to. It was especially evident through their process of the engagement shoots they offer. Just like a photographer does, Bonsai gets you comfortable behind the camera with a short video in the location of your choosing. They were up for any idea I had on location, even if it meant meeting early in the morning at the Toronto airport just to capture the perfect shot of a the long distance relationship my husband and I were in at the time. They made us feel so comfortable through every aspect of the stressful process we all know as.. weddings.
When it came to the wedding day Meg was like a second set of eyes, even though that definitely wasn't in her job description. She fixed small details all day, made sure morning filming with the guys went seamless, and even helped me set up the intricate gift I had for my husband the morning of the wedding. She is a dream to work with!! Bonsai films in a way that you barely know they are even in the room. No posed moments, only candid. WHICH I LOVE! They captured so many moments we never even knew existed that day by doing this.
When we got our films back (which included an extra short clip of my husband opening his gift.. I love you guys!!!) WE. WERE. STUNNED! It was like nothing we had ever seen before. Not at all your average wedding video, it was creative art through film. We watched it maybe 3 times a day for the first two months, and I teared up every time like it was the first. When showing our family and friends, everyone agreed that it complied the whole day, capturing every aspect perfectly.
Having Bonsai film our day was one of the best wedding decisions we made. There is no price we could put on the outstanding job they did, and would pay it again in a heartbeat. I've spent the last 5 months since our wedding referring all my recently engaged friends, and explaining the importance of a videographer (in my opinion the same or more important than a photographer).
Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts Meg & Jon. We will cherish this video forever, we can't wait to show our future kids someday and continue to watch it as we grow old together. You're amazing both personally and professionally! Keep up the outstanding work!!!Bonsai Creative's reply:

Having a videographer was a decision we hadn’t fully committed to when we planed out wedding. However, I do not regret the decision at all!
Meg and Jon soothed every doubt about having a videographer for our wedding. The first time we chatted I knew right away that they were the ones to capture this special day. The two are the most kind hearted, funny and loveliest people! In addition to planning out a vision of what we wanted for our video, they were also there to give us advice and tips when planning the rest of the logistics with the wedding.
The day of the wedding, they were there promptly and eager to see us ultimately tie the knot! They ensured we ate, we were doing well and kept us on time. Meg truly was such a gift on the wedding day. You sometimes don’t realize how much time you will spend with your videographers and photographers on the wedding day, but you spend pretty much all day with them and I am so glad we got to spend the day with Meg and Jon!
In terms of the video, let me just say it’s 4 months later and I still cry every single time I watch the video. They captured our love story, the full day of the wedding, and all the fun in-between. From the music, to the style, to the shots, everything was absolutely perfect. I have the ability to re-watch the highlights of the day and always be reminded of the essence of our wedding.
I would highly recommend Bonsai Creative to anyone who is considering a videographer. These two exceeded all expectations and anyone would be so so lucky to work with them.Bonsai Creative's reply:

We’re a bit shy, and their ability to make the entire process so fun and relaxed - while secretly being insanely in tune with every detail is what we loved about working with them.
