Justin and Ix are just amazing at what they do. We haven’t even gotten back our cinematic video yet. But just from the mini teaser and the ceremony video, we are so excited to get it.
They both make you feel so comfortable and you don’t even know they are there while filming. Such great talent. We seriously can’t recommend them enough! Definitely made our wedding day to look back on perfect

Justin and Ixchel are beyond talented. I was nervous about how our video would turn out as neither my husband or myself are naturals in front of the camera but what they captured was beyond our wildest dreams. I have watched it 1000 times and no doubt We will watch it over and over for the rest of our lives. They worked with us from the start to make sure we could get what we wanted. We weren’t able to meet them until our big day as we were planning our wedding from Australia but once we met them we knew we were in good hands.
If you are questioning whether you need a video/if it’s worth it..IT ABSOLUTELY IS!! And Parfait Productions is a dream team to work with.

We had initially booked parfait in May of 2020 for our May 2021 wedding. A few weeks after booking, we were concerned with the safety of our family and friends as the pandemic was in full swing in our province and seemed only to be getting worse so we decided to postpone to 2022, which Parfait allowed us to do at no charge (none of our other vendors charged us either).
In spring 2021, we requested to postpone our wedding till 2023 for the same reason (the vaccination campaign was going extremely slowly then and cases were on the rise); at the time, Parfait let us know that they were going to charge us over 1000$ to move the date. They were the only one of our vendors to impose such a penalty.
We inquired with friends who were engaged around the same period and they informed us that they had been forced to move their date as well, sometimes as many as three or four times, without any penalties from any of their vendors.
Following what we perceived as unprofessional interactions we had with Parfait subsequently, we no longer felt comfortable moving forward with them as our wedding videographers.
We attempted to resolve the matter in a way where each of us would assume part of the costly loss, despite the fact that they had over a year to rebook our date and so would have had ample time to rebook and recoup everything, but they refused. They have kept our 5000$ deposit in it’s entirety and also demanded that we sign another contract with them that contained a clause forbidding us from critiquing them in any way, thus attempting to remove our ability to write this review. We refused.
Legally Parfait were within their rights to keep our deposit and charge for a reschedule but we believe other couples should be aware of these aspects of their business model in the exceptional context of a pandemic that has cost millions of people their lives so they might make a decision accordingly.

Parfait Productions is the absolute best! They are so professional and friendly, catering to your every need. Their talent is in seeing the shot before it happends, getting into the best position to capture the moment perfectly. We are so blessed to have them do our wedding at the Chateau Lake Louise.

Justin and Ixchel were the BEST and we are extremely happy we picked them to capture our special day. We eloped in Banff with just my husband and I, so having the entire day filmed on video was a must have. Their style was exactly what we were looking for. It felt like it was a mini-movie and we had family and friends say the same thing. They mentioned their style to film is to blend in and not get in the way of our special day and they really did. I almost forgot they were filming us. During the in-between times it was fun talking with them and it felt like they were more friends than our videographers.
I highly recommend hiring them and they were worth every penny!

Ixchel and Justin were an absolute treat to work with on our wedding day! They took the time to come to rehearsal the night before, and made us feel very comfortable with their cameras around us. They laughed, chatted and we had so much fun with them. Honestly, you don’t need a wedding planner when you have these two on your side. The touches they thought of and the flow to the day were perfect. They never made us feel bad for too many questions or emails. Without hesitation, I recommend these two to everyone for their big day!

I actually don’t know HOW Justin and Ixchel make everyone look like movie stars in their films. It’s insane. It feels like I’m watching a movie, not a wedding video. I’m SO lucky we get to relive that day at the click of a button any time we want. Their video takes me back to that exact moment. We actually bought the documentary edits of the first dances AND toasts because we HAD to after seeing our wedding highlight film. They are beyond talented. Parfait Productions was the BEST decision we made during this whole process and they absolutely lived up to every expectation we had.

Extremely professional, but also very, very friendly and make it incredibly easy to work with. They were practically invisible on the day, we never noticed them (which is exactly what we hoped for). Then the final product captured perfectly the feel of our day, as well as our own story. They captured all the little details of the day, as well as beautiful shots of people just interacting. It felt in no way posed or forced. I highly recommend Parfait Productions.

Parfait cares more about their product than your experience or telling your wedding story. Here is how we know that: Parfait hadn't done a Hindu wedding before and it showed in the output. They assured us during contract negotiations that they would sit down with us prior to the wedding to understand the different components to our complicated, multi-day wedding and that they would do any additional research that they felt necessary to properly tell the story of our wedding. We felt that they were genuine in wanting to understand the ins and outs of our wedding and that they took our cultural needs seriously.
Unfortunately we were wrong. They did not take the time to sit down with us before the wedding events and the original highlight reel that Parfait created showed it. It did not emphasize our wedding day but rather spent lots of time on pre-wedding events, which were less important to be featured. As a consequence, the highlight film focused primarily on the bride’s side and hardly caught the actual wedding ceremony and reception. Credit where credit it due: it was a beautiful video - the problem was it did not tell our wedding story.
After a lot of back & forth & frustration, Parfait did agree to redo the highlight reel at no additional cost to us. This new highlight reel did feature more of my husband and his family but it became an awkward, disjointed, and, again, unbalanced view of our wedding. They overlaid the same footage with my husband's friends and family talking about him - almost for the full video. They again did not ask for any input into the highlight reel and missed all of the feedback we had given them in the first place. What we tried to explain over and over was that the main highlight of our wedding was the actual wedding ceremony and seeing a balanced view of both sides of the family was really important. It seemed to be a slapped together job. The whole experience put such a sour taste that we tell everyone we do not have a video.
