That was super helpful! It's also great that you have a backup plan (lapel mics), your experience is immediately evident.
I also want to note separately how useful it was for us that you were not just a videographer but also involved in the wedding planning, activities, schedule, and coordinating everything with the photographer and equipment.

Meet the team
Hey, my name is Dmitry! I'm a filmmaker and photographer, but it hasn't always been this way. In 2012, I graduated from university with a Master's degree in Marketing. My first job was as a passenger registration desk manager at the airport in Moscow. Later on, I landed a marketing manager position at an aircraft manufacturing company.
That's where I first picked up a DSLR camera. I still remember being sent to photograph the speech of the company president at Aircraft Constructor Day. Since that moment, I've seen my photos printed and framed every time I entered his office.
Later on, I started freelancing. My first freelance project in 2017 was a photo session for stray dogs organized by volunteers to find them new homes. Afterward, I began filming commercials, weddings, and events.
In 2022, I participated in my first (and for now, the last) contest and was honored to be recognized as one of the top 100 filmmakers by the Top100Awards.
Following the events of 2022, I left Moscow and traveled the world, working on international projects. I filmed in the US, Sweden, Bali, Armenia, Georgia, Sri Lanka, and eventually settled down in Toronto. Since then, Canada has become my home.
During this two-year journey, I covered eight countries, developed a unique filmmaking style, found love, and got married.
Regarding my approach, I prefer capturing everything naturally and beautifully. I enjoy bringing out the personalities of couples and interacting with them to make them feel relaxed and comfortable. My main goal is to preserve you as you are, with all your perfections and imperfections, capturing your unique characters and unveiling your true love story.
